Team Loki

hm, according to dictionary it should be guardian appointed by parent or court
but then again, I remember few historicals I read where they had wards practically picked on the street.
You read a book so I'll leave it to you to decide if it fits or not.

We are 7th.
Great work team and thank you for playing :)
Now let's finish it for fun!

Currently we have 20840 pts
7th is great!
I think it'll probably take us a couple of weeks, will be interesting to see how many teams carry on

Any wishes?

We are stuck with islands little longer :(

I don't think so. I mean I think it fits but at the same time it doesn't so I left it alone.

Virgin River
NEW GOAL
Read a book with the word crash, bang, collide, bump or knock (plurals are acceptable) in the title
Read a book with the word aggregate in the text
*searching...*

Bare Bones
Winter Oranges
The Sword Thief
Strangers in Death
NEW GOAL
Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as north-america - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable
I've just finished reading Winter which has a main location of the moon - I don't know if that would count for a known planet...
was hoping there'd be a loophole for that one... Can't think of many books (other than the Martian) set on a known planet

Seems sensible! Nothing I've got planned to read soon matches any of the goals we've got at the moment

Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as creepy - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable

Yeah. I didn't check books from last few days if they fit. I'm guessing you guys did? And you'd tell me if it does?

The Lake House
NEW GOAL
Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as christian - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable

Ladies, we need to tone it down and read something that won't make you blush :P

The Year We Fell Down
NEW GOAL
Read a book with the word tumble in the text
*It's to late/early for me to go through books searching. I'm already half asleep, so I'll check them tomorrow if nobody beats me to it. Night! :)

I'll do it.

The Stars of Fortune
One Hundred Years of Solitude
I'll Give You the Sun

Tide of war could work (if I have it translated right)
Both MCs are fighting in war and (view spoiler) You could say they are both there for each other in hard times

What does that mean? Just the name being used by someone?

Hm...
If you ask me that would be stretching it and if this was still challenge I'd say no way. But since we are doing this for fun, I'll let you decide yes or no. Especially since I'd need to know which book you are talking about :)
That said, in my current book there is school called Hecate, but they do mention goddess in one sentence when asking how school got name.

Use your book then, it fits better than mine :-)
