Also the Christmas Goal Books only count for that Goal. They can't be used for any other goal. So you don't need to put all that info next time Venecia =)

and I'm not sure how it differs from an anthology. She also mentions them being published separately. I have some anthologies that have stories that have been published previously.

I see what you mean. Let me browse through and see if i can find the definition they are using.

Alright so from what i gathered that one example you gave is a boxed set, which means it doesn't count as one book.
The boxed set, or 'omnibus' are separate books sold as one, like
(Percy Jackson and the Olympians Boxed Set).They are considering anthologies to be a collection of stories "not published independently elsewhere". For example Four: A Divergent Story Collection, Side Jobs: Stories From the Dresden Files and Wool Omnibus`"would count as one book even though they started life as separate novellas/short stories."
If this doesn't help I can ask the mods to give us a better definition.
If there's any particular book you want to read, we can get a ruling on it before you start to read it. Either way this is supposed to for fun, so if you feel like reading something that doesn't really qualify for the game it's ok xD
How is the Wool Omnibus allowed when the books were previously released as standalones?

Can get the other mods opinions if y'all would like me to, but wanted to weigh in that Wool Omnibus is allowed because it was created and released for such that purpose to have all the books as one. That's acceptable. Even though they were released 1st on their own, they soon were made into the omni. There are some other examples, and if short stories / novellas were originally released but then put into an omnibus to create one larger book, then those are acceptable.Boxed sets, on the other hand, are standalone books that can't/won't be made into one. For example, there will never be a release where all 7 of the Harry Potters are mashed into one book. They are separate books and will remain as such, so each book needs to be counted on its own. With ones like Wool they are shorter stories that can be collected together in one book, creating the omnibus, and is acceptable because it's like it creates a whole new book.
Does that make more sense?

When I think of omnibus, I think of one author, like Wool and when I think anthologies, I think collection of stories by individual people. Either which way, I personally believe all those are acceptable, but let me have another mod weigh in on it.

Just saw Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2. Now it's really the end of that era and I'm craving new series to to replace it :(

Alright so April is working on the Christmas day 1 goal. What is everyone else doing? (and by that i mean reading). I want to work on one of the goals, but i want to make sure i'll get one that isn't being worked on atm.
The new goal is "Read a book with the phrase "head start" in a book", which i'll check on our goalless books tomorrow (it's 5am and i can't wait to go to bed xD).
And the last thing is i know only a few people where participating in the mini challenge thing. Since i'm planning on updating it tomorrow, does anyone else want to join in? I think Tea, RebeccaS, Stacie, Anita, April, Nicole and Sophie where the ones participating, right? This is just so i don't use your books without your permission on it.
(Note: the mini challenge does not count towards the Tower Teams points, it's just a challenge to keep us entertained and it's only between all Norse Teams)
on a non book related note (and i promise this is my last post of the night and i'll stop spamming you all), i have no idea what to give my little one for christmas. Oh well i have plenty of ideas and if i could i would shower her with gifts but sadly i can't afford it xD (she's 3years old)

I'm not currently working towards any of the goals, but was planning to read a Nora Roberts for the book that a captain or co-captain has read as my next one.

I have books for Undertaker(Mortician) and cemetery but I have other books to finish before I can start them, so if you have something go ahead.

That would take care of the goal Read a book that your co-captain or captain has read which is on your "to read" shelf (go to the person's profile -->compare books), cause Tea has read it. Done, sorry I thought I had :s. Yay for completing a goal accidentally :) As a side note, I'm no good at presents for little ones xD I'm still a uni student and my youngest relative is 5 now so its marvel stuff all the way for him :)
