In my opinion the number on the tablet doesn't count since it doesn't take up physical space. Yep. That's my story.

Hello *waves*
Thanks for checking in! Waiting on two others. They accepted my friend requests earlier today so hopefully they'll find their way here and check in over the next day or so.

Yeah, I realized after I PM'd all of you I should of put a link to the thread in the message.
I'll mark that down as my first Captain Fail of the games.

Hello! Thanks for checking in and you aren't late until Saturday. And we still have one more to check in.
I think they are looking to add members to teams and want to keep them even in terms of books read. So we are trying to make sure everyone who originally signed up still wants to participate before they start adding.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. :)
I'm spending the next couple of months focusing on finishing series, so I actually have most of the books planned out. It kind of sucks that I don't have any lengthier books on that tbr... which means I might have to add Outlander which I've been meaning to do for awhile. But it'll kind of disrupt my plan of not starting any new series until I've finished the ones on my list. Hmm

As long as book is longer than 100 pages it counts for the challenge.
From my experience in these challenges, it's not about the page count, more about the tactics. The most 'rewarding' books point-wise are those that are close to the lower limit for points.
Here's a full list of points per book's page count if you haven't seen it yet.
They added that books with more pages bring more points, but if you add-up points for goal... reading thinner books can still be rewarding. ;)
That's true! I'll have to do better than I have been I haven't taken much time to read recently :/

*waves* Hello Caroline, thank you for checking in quickly.
Now I can report back to the mothership Team Thor is all checked in a ready to read.
I've never been a captain before so it'll be a learning experience for a lot of us. And there are some more experienced team members too who will keep us in line. If you have any questions/concerns please just let us know.

For TOWER TEAMS we're making

Meaning, we are granting the page points, participating in discussion points, and DQ's points, as long as you finish the book after the starting date

I'm super excited for this challenge but I might have to apologize ahead of time because I'm still figuring out how this works... Haha Thanks for letting me become a part of your team! Right now I'm reading Crown of Midnight :)

Hello Katherine! Thank you for checking in quickly so I can let the mods know our team is ready :)
I love Sarah Maas!

Sadly the rules say: "Books must be started after the start date of the challenge to count towards the challenge " :/

Dragana is correct, you have to start the book after the start date of the challenge. So Lair of Dreams won't count. Sorry.
There is one exception being made for The Child Thief since it the BOM where the start date is today. But for that you can't finish it before Nov 7th for it to count.
I think the rule is to prevent people from 'front loading' books and reading almost all of some really long books and then reading the last couple chapters after the challenge starts and have them count.
Basically my plan is to read some of my really short books on my TBR list and finish up anything I've started by Nov 7. And then start fresh from there.

I think you can start 'The Child Thief' before the 7th Andrea and it will count. If I understood Judith (and the mods) correctly you only need to finish it after the challenge starts...
My plans are similar to Judith's - I'm reading small books to be clear to start on the 7th :D

I love the Throne of Glass series! I'd recommend reading the novellas too, they are all combined in Assassin's Blade (pretty sure that's what it's called). I've read her other book as well, Court of Thorns and Roses. Sarah Maas has become an author I fling money at when she comes out with a new book. . .
And it's nice to know someone else's husband gives their physical to-read pile the stink eye :)
