Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) For: Read a book where a character has a "security blanket" or a lucky item
In The Allure of Julian Lefray MC Josephine buys vintage Chanel flats in Trift shop (saves for a year) as a kid even if they are not her size. She adores them and wears them often as adult. She calls them her first fashion item... Can it count? What do you think?

Judith (brownie72011) | 7477 comments Mod
I'd say so, if I did something like that they'd be my lucky shoes. And I'd wear them any time I needed a little something extra (luck, confidence, etc)

message 903: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Freeland (kazeshinix) | 125 comments If that doesn't work I just read The Outside, she carries this paper around called a Himmelsbrief which makes it so the vampires can't touch her. She always has it with her just in case the vampires attack.

FYI - it looks like a team hit 25,000 points so I'm expecting to hear about a wrap up for the game fairly soon.

Game Over :)

You did great and thank you for being great team :)

You are welcome to continue if you want to see how long it'll take you to get 25000 pts. Spreadsheets will still work, goals will be there and boons will still be granted.

message 908: by Judith (new)

Judith (brownie72011) | 7477 comments Mod
Well guys, let me know what everyone wants to do. I'm more than happy to keep updating the spreadsheet if people would like to keep going.

message 909: by Dragana (new)

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) Maybe we didn't win but I had fun. I didn't feel any pressure and I discovered a lot of great books.

I'm not against continuing to play if the rest of the team is up for it. And I am also willing to irregularly help to Judith with entering books (as I did while the challenge lasted...)

That's the worst dilemma for a present. I always have that problem when I need to buy present for my sister's daughters. They have everything.
Here's some of their favorite toys (maybe you get some idea): doctor set, cake-making set (from play-dough), frozen glass+plate+mug set (I bought them this and they loved it), ...

I have a boy so the present is easy (at least for him). Just buy him a car. :D
His birthday is on the 15th Feb, but I am a lazy mom, I just delegate everything. We rent a public kid's playing room (not sure how to translate to English) and they have photographer+food+drinks+toys+cake. So we just show up, have fun and then leave and leave the mess to them. ;)

We did something similar last year for her birthday, but sadly this year we don't have the money for that, so we are just having a small thing here... I think we may take her to build a bear for her birthday so she can have fun building a stuffed animal and I do believe they have My Little Pony's that you can stuff and dress. It would probably be tons of fun for her..hopefully I will be not as sick by then but I doubt it, but I will put on the best happy face I can. Lol.
