I just found a self published author with one book in Amazon. I'll work on that goal next.

Used The Winner's Curse read by Wren for goal: Read a book where the title starts with the letter W
New goal: Read a book that is in the "Favorite books from my childhood" Listopia List (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...)

Too bad. Well it's still easy to find something with ..."
It's good I saw this since I didn't start it yet. I am then going to read A Daughter of No Nation for parallel worlds goal.
Which one? Yours? When I enlarged the book cover that popped up I could see train wheels in the picture so I used it.
Did the wrong cover come up?
Did the wrong cover come up?
I just doubled checked covers and somehow I popped up a cover for a non-English version with a closer picture of a train. Ummm, oops. If one of the covers works, does it matter?
I know it's only 5 points and doubt it's going to make a difference but I feel like I accidentally cheated or something.
The bizarre thing is I'm not sure how I managed to do it in the first place

I know how it happened, that edition is linked in the spreadsheet.

(In previous challenge, my team made similar mistake and that's what we did.)

Well now the book ID number is different so it's showing a man. I only realized it changed because now it's popping up as an unused/not on the goalless tab book. {sigh}

Does it count if a character eats souls because I have a book for that?

Thanks Judith. If the soul-eating doesn't count, I found a zombie book where people get eaten that would actually work for the goal. I'll probably get it started tomorrow at the earliest.
We should probably go with the zombie book. They were leaning towards no more than yes. And saying the soul eating was closer to dementors, which wasn't what they were really going for.
But if other mods weigh in on the discussion and the answer changes I'll let you know. The strict mod answered first. Boo!
I found a Q book that I can start either today or tomorrow depending on how things go.

FYI everyone, I think we are getting into the home stretch of the challenge.
The projected end date (when a team is likely to hit 25,000 points) is Monday, Jan 25th. So there is around 6 days left in the challenge.
Now would be a good time to go to the team spreadsheet and look on your individual tab. Make sure all your books are there that should be. If something is missing go to your Tower Team shelf and check to make sure the missing books are there and the DATE READ is set correctly (and is between Nov 7th and today).
If there is no date read set or if it is before Nov 7th, it will not be on the spreadsheet and Dragana, Imke, and I will not be able to fix it until you correct the date.
Thanks guys :)

Used The Nightingale read by Judith for goal: Read a book where an important character dies

A lot of goalless books have library tag. To me it's similar. What so you think. Should we ask the mods?

Normally I would agree with you and ask the mods, but I checked the list of goals and "top shelf of library" is a separate goal. So their answer would be no.

If anyone really enjoys team challenges and is looking to do another one, Perks of Being a Book Addict is doing the UNO Challenge again.
I did it last year and thought it was a lot of fun. It doesn't start until March so there is a bit of a break after Tower Teams is over. But sign ups have started.

Note: I didn't get a chance to check all of the goalless books to see if any of them worked for the new goal.
And I didn't get to all of the new books that need to be added. My husband is grumbling about dinner. I figured since he has been digging us out of over 2 feet of snow, I should go feed him :)

Good catch, Judith. I completely missed the word :)"
When I was getting ready to add Catching Fire to the goalless tab, the chariot scenes popped into my head. Luckily I have this series on my Nook so it was a quick search.
As for the new goals, I can easily grab either one of them depending on what other people are reading. So if you are reading something that works for one, let me know and I'll read something for the other one.
