I've just put my review of James Sillwoods Amatore Restaurant on the page.
"This is perhaps the most erotic book I’ve ever read (which probably says something about my unsuitability as a proper reviewer), but I found that the book worked on several levels.
It’s a subject that isn’t easy to write about without repeating oneself or without striking a wrong note by becoming too grabby, and the author managed to keep above this. The author also managed with considerable dexterity to keep the narrative entertaining and keep the reader wanting to know how things unfolded. At times, I found myself trying hard to remember how the various characters related to each other, but by the end, everything was in place. I must say, I was slightly disappointed that there wasn’t a grand debacle at the end, but perhaps that’s not the norm in erotica.
The characters were finely drawn, and although I felt that I hadn’t got to understand the working of some of them, most of them I could identify with – quite an achievement, considering the amount of characters.
