A series of 2 is fine. If it's part of a series in any way then it counts, even if it's only a series of 2 and only the first one is out (or if the first one is an ARC.)

If it's a novella with 100 pages or more (doesn't matter if it's 0.5 or 3.5), you'll get one point for the book, and then one point for the buddy.
