his neighbor is like a little old lady. and he lives with this girl who lived there before he did. Theres some big scenes in the back yard and i think they lived out in the country? It had like a dark (brown maybe?) cover and was maybe 200-300 pages thick? Any help is much appreciated!!

What's the genre/tone - eerie, horror, romance, etc.?
What is the hero's job/background? What about the girl/woman he lives with?
the genre was Paranormal Romance. i honestly have no clue what both of their jobs were. As I'm thinking of this more, im kinda remembering more. i think the cover is with them on a sidewalk and the girl is on the steps to one of those old apartment buildings and hes on the sidewalk. i think they'res a bike there too?
