I believe the email Amazon sends notifying you of the gift gives you the option to exchange it.

I don't know if this helps or not, Shannon, but all my gifts have come from ARe and all the ones I've sent have been from there and everything has been sent and received without a problem. If they have an ARe account the book is automatically placed into their library as soon as you send it. I know it would be nice if they posted on the share your goodies thread or whatever it's called here and then you'd know for sure. Hopefully they'll do that soon.

I know last year I got a note saying 'thanks for the book' and I got all anxious because I sent more than one and did that mean they hadn't received the others...

This is more than I spend on books for myself at any one time, so it's nice to know if they've been received.

Are you kidding me? (no need to answer it's a purely rhetorical question) Manners people where are our manners? I know I'm not the only one who has done fangirl thank yous to their friends and SS's all over the place here for the lovely gifts they've received. Oh I buy plenty books ;) but I rarely buy them in bulk, I try to pace myself a little.

They do, however, I've found them in my junk email and since I actually forward my Gmail (because I hate the Gmail interface (why can't you fuckin' sort your Gmail by From like every other email program on the face of the earth; I know, I know you can do that filtering thing but I want it easy to sort)) to my Outlook email and it seems to have difficulty with that and does an undeliverable.

(But I like Gmail's spam filtering so that's why I just forward from it and I had my GMail first)

You are the best Santa ever and I have enjoyed all of the wonderful surprises you sent my way and because of you several of us are doing a buddy read in early January for I am so totally excited about this. This book is so far outside of the box for me, it's almost scary but in a fun way. If you want to do a re-read we'd love to have you join in.
