Wow, people are gifting already. I hope my person forgives me but I'm going to hang in there for Cyber Monday because last year as I recall it wasn't just ARe that was offering the fun deals, Amazon and Kobo had sales going on too not as good as ARe but still there were some lovely bargains to be had and that makes for more gifts to give.

My SS recipient was a tough one to shop for, so I got them an Amazon gift card thinking that they'd be able to buy exactly what they want...but it's gone unclaimed.I'm starting to worry. Of course there's no way to ask them if they received it without giving away it was me...so hopefully they will check their email soon and see Amazon has a gift card for redeeming.

Heather, This's my second year participating. Thank you for always doing such a marvelous job in organizing/leading the exchange. The group is so much fun - and I love seeing what everyone is being gifted! :-)
Looks like ARe are either behind on sending gift notifications or aren't bothering again.... if you have an ARe account might be worth keeping checking it to see if any gifts have landed in your library!!

God I love SS and getting and gifting ebooks. I am terrible at guessing who my secret santa is and with so many people I do not know it is also hard to give or figure out clues.

Nope, you aren't the only one. I keep adding books to my to-read list. I'm trying not to buy any until the exchange is over, but temptation is hard to overcome. I have over forty books already purchased and waiting to be read in my Kindle.

That is part of the reason for the exchange! I know I hesitate to spend $15 on books for myself, but I'll blow that easily on another person. :)

I have no barriers when it comes to buying books whether they are for me or someone else. Seriously my husband thinks the greatest invention in the past 50 years has been the e-reader because he's pretty sure we'd be an episode of Hoarders without it.

My birthday is right near Christmas but in years when I have the funds I always get myself a gift.

Plus my daughter is the 17th, so people are already starting to combine her birthday and Christmas, which she doesn't understand (she's going to be 5.) I was always stuck with Halloween-themed stuff because my birthday is two days before Halloween. It sucks when you're born close to a holiday.
My granddaughter was born on Christmas morning last year, my daughter is still trying to figure out how they are going to deal with it. Pretty sure at this point the plan is to have her parties in January and make that the norm. When she is older then her friends will be back from any family trips and such. I think we are going to acknowledge her birthday on Christmas though, even if it is just birthday cake.My birthday is on a minor holiday and I have always loved it! When I was young, there was a party at school every year - just for me! =) I do admit my hubby has only very rarely given me a birthday and Valentine's present though. And since I'm not big on crowds, not a good night for going out to dinner either.
