I read this book in 1994. It is about a man who has great brain function control. As i recall he could control his heart rate by thinking it, astral project and many other things. He lives alone with his daughter and trains her in this too. She ends up having to get a brain tumor removed. Unknowingly during the surgery her soul/spirit is severed from her brain. Her body carries on afterward somewhat normally but the father can tell she is not herself. The daughters disembodied mind also tries to contact him. Any help pin pointing the name would be appreciated. Thank you
