SOLVED. Girl with psychic abilities to find things (YA maybe mid 90s) [s]

I remember a lot from this book but can't seem to find it no matter how hard I try.

-girl goes to live with her dad (maybe just for the summer) they dont have a great relationship, he's kind of distant
-she can "find" things with psychic abilities but hides it
-makes friends with a neighbor and finds her lost wedding ring.
-the climax of the book is that she ends up having to reveal her abilities to her dad to find a lost group of hikers. They are stranded in a mountain that looks like a knife, fork and spoon during a storm.
-at the end she tours a school for kids with psychic abilities.
