I need a refresher here, Jonetta. I just returned the book to the library, so I can't look up that scene.
Sorry, Charlene! My memory is sluggish, too.
She jumped out of the bed, ran to her room and locked the door.
She jumped out of the bed, ran to her room and locked the door.
It was a bit childish and, as I said before, it was really unfair for her to even put him on the same level as David.
Childish is a good way to describe it. Despite my sympathy for Talia in the first book, I also didn't like her all that much in her own book. In fact, I didn't really like any of the characters. Rosie came across as spoiled and selfish, Susie is a self-absorbed, manipulative bitch and the Gemini men all have rather long sticks up their butts!
I did like Detective Nolan but he didn't get enough page time :0)
Jonetta wrote: "I really didn't understand Susie's character at all."I didn't understand why she was even in the book. Her attitude toward Talia is very schizophrenic. She seems friendly at first but then behaves so nastily. There was even a moment when I thought she might be behind the nasty gifts.
