What do you think of Talia's reaction immediately after having sex with Jack their first time? Was it reasonable for her to think of him in the same way as David?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I need a refresher here, Jonetta. I just returned the book to the library, so I can't look up that scene.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Sorry, Charlene! My memory is sluggish, too.

She jumped out of the bed, ran to her room and locked the door.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Yes, that definitely would send the guy a message!

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
It was a bit childish and, as I said before, it was really unfair for her to even put him on the same level as David.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Neither of us liked her very much, did we?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Childish is a good way to describe it. Despite my sympathy for Talia in the first book, I also didn't like her all that much in her own book.

In fact, I didn't really like any of the characters. Rosie came across as spoiled and selfish, Susie is a self-absorbed, manipulative bitch and the Gemini men all have rather long sticks up their butts!

I did like Detective Nolan but he didn't get enough page time :0)

I really didn't understand Susie's character at all.

I didn't understand why she was even in the book. Her attitude toward Talia is very schizophrenic. She seems friendly at first but then behaves so nastily. There was even a moment when I thought she might be behind the nasty gifts.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what side she was on initially.
