"You didn't answer my question," she said.

"Why? Either you didn't want to change or you did."
Laz gave a bitter smile, "that may work for the others but not me. I will not be dismissed."
"And I said no!" She yelled back.
"Do not forget your place! I am queen for a reason I will die by your hands or anyone's here!"
"You may be queen, but I am the only one here with knowledge of the angel tactics! So, if I were you, I would take my advice."
"Knowledge or not, I will not be ordered around by you nor anyone. If I were you, I would do well to remember that."
"Ask Graviel where to find your army, apparently I know nothing," she said and walked back to her room.
My hands curl into fists, and a guttural sound emanates from my throat. I resist the urge to turn around and tear her to pieces.
Laz sat on her bed frustrated. She was frustrated with him, and with herself. She couldn't figure out why she always lost it in some sort of way when she was around him. He was mean, sarcastic, and cold.
I get my armour, and leave. I strap it on, and find Gavriel, and he pinpoints them to the entrance of the camp.
Laz puts on a black dress and gets herself ready to see off her armies. When she had her hair and makeup done again, she walked out of her room and to the front of the gates.
Laz saw Charles and smiled at him. She was still mad at him, but wasn't going to let the troops know that. She walked up to them and waited for Charles to finish what he was saying.
I finish addressing the horde of demons in front of me, and they silently run out of the gates, ready to kill. I wait behind with Laz. "These are my men. I may take orders from you, but i will execute them in the style that I want to."
"And I trust you to do the right thing, or at least the more right thing to do. But Charles, I need to know that I can trust you with other things as well," she said and turned to him.
"Such as telling me when things are bothering you. Especially if it has something to do with my people," she said looking at him.
"i'm a soldier, a warrior, and foremost, a survivor. I don't talk to people about what bothers me because we'd be here for centuries. I regret all the deaths that I have caused, every soul haunts me. but I cannot worry about telling other people because they need to focus too."
"I know what you are, you do not need to remind me of that. But I still care of your wellbeing, you may not care for mine but that's not something I am concerned with. You are not just a warrior anymore, you're one of the most important warriors here, do not forget that," she said.
"i know of my place, but you would do well to remember that I take or give counsel to no-one. you are the head of the army, true, but you do not fight. this shows me that you have inherited the higher rank rather than earning it."
Laz smiled and walked to one of her servants. She told him to send her message to everyone. She walked to the armory and changed into leather pants and the top version of her dress. She took her sword and walked back out to Charles, "I told you to chose your words wisely before you changed," she said and sheathed her sword.
I mutter a curse, and unfold my wings. I shift, and grin menacingly. I zoom of into the sky on the bat-like wings, and scout ahead of the warband.
Laz smiled and shook her head slightly. She half shifted, her wings sprouting from her back and flew after him.
find the command tent. I frown. "this was easy... too easy..." zoom down into the supply tents, and set them alight. I smash the food crates, and stuff the weaponry into a sack I had brought with me. I give a roar, and the demon army charges...
Laz charged with them, her battle cry roaring with the rest of her troops. She didn't really think about Charles, or tried not to at least.
I smash into the command tent, and find the enemy commander. I pick him up by his puny little throat, and stuff him into other sack.
We finally got to the Angels and all Laz hears is the clash of metal against metal. She comes up to an angel of her own and cuts him down, going on to the next one.
I find myself surrounded by a group of heavily armoured angels, all of whom are wielding broadswords. I give them a predator's grin, and stab three of them consecutively. I rip one's head off, and drink his blood. the two left run off, screaming.
Laz continues to cut down soldiers with her sword and helps those around her. Once she clears her section, she sprints forward to where more angels are fighting.
Laz heard Charles shout and she finished off the last of the Angels. She looked around for Charles and ran to him when she found him.
Laz followed him and watched as he had the commander. "What do you plan to do with him?" She asked.
"we need get information out of him. we have depleted the enemy force, but we need to find the ultimate angel haven."
"I thought you knew where all of it was," she said looking at him.
"I never said you were, but fine do what you care to do with him. Just kill him once you're done, I don't need him getting out of here." She said and walked out of the cell.
Laz shook her head, "would you like to take care of that? Because I'm surely not," she said.
Laz nodded, "come to me when you're done, I want to know what he says," she said.
"You're probably right. Come then, we'll get you cleaned up and come back," she said.
