I enjoy rereading Jane and the Twelve Days of Christmas, but that’s not in our period. My other Christmas favorite is Charlotte Macleod’s “Rest Ye Merry”, and we’ve got that one in our challenge! Another one is Envious Casca by Georgette Heyer, but we’ve done that as well.

I know it’s been nominated, but the holidays are often busy, how about a short story collection you can dip in and out of, time permitting? Like Silent Nights: Christmas Mysteries ? I know it’s been out a while and several members might have read it, but I was thinking an older book m8ght be more readily available.

Availability is always an issue, unless a book has been out for years, it seems!

Well then, if we can go outside our usual times,I say let’s include the PD James and McDermid books also, they sound good - as always, if we can get them, great, if not, there’s older Silent Nights: Christmas Mysteries to fall back on. I’d also include Jane and the Twelve Days of Christmas .

Stories don't tend to get a lot of people joining in, historically, so I would only suggest one collection.

Jane and the 12 days of Christmas is number 12 in a series - they are on kindle in the UK but are expensive. However, if anybody wants to read a buddy ever, then only two people are needed and we are happy to set up threads.

Actually, only books 5-15 are on kindle in the UK, not sure why. It's infuriating when you can only get part of a series on kindle, isn't it?
