Book where hero joins as mechanic in heroine's father's garage

I read something similar but can't remember title, husband was killed off, but returns to hometown with different identity and is changed in appearance through surgery. His brother is partner or works with the widow in a garage, he starts working as a mechanic there. Somehow the brother has recognised hero and overrides her concerns about employing him. She is being victimised by someone trying to bankrupt her and hero gets jealous over the guy she is now seeing.
