I really liked it, but someone commented on my review saying that they were bored out of their mind with it. It's published at the end of the month I think?

Yeah, that annoyed me to no end. I figure, if publishers want you to read their ARC, they should make it easy... I'm reading it on my computer, as I had no other choice...
Do you think they will do that? I got another book that didn't have a Kindle version, so I e-mailed them and was told that there will be no Kindle version :(
Some of the publishers are like that. I've got another 2 that have no kindle version. The publisher of don't look usually has a kindle option though. I don't know.
There was no kindle option for
but they added it about 2 weeks later, so hopefully they add it soon!
that's the problem! Whenever I log in just to leave a review (or so I tell myself), I close the tab only after checking the new titles and requesting some of them
Sarah wrote: "Oh dear me, what have I done? I just got approved for another book. must stop requesting!"For your review pile's sake, put parental controls on netgalley + Edelweiss. Hahaha ;)
I've been doing really well! I haven't requested anything since the 10th (I don't think), but I requested loads before then that have been coming through still.
I split my list of review copies into 'received before March 24th', and 'received after March 24th', so I'm trying to get the first list read before starting on the second list. That second list is longer than the first list now though!

I'm glad I'm not the only one having a bad streak. This whole year hasn't been that good really. Finding most of my books are duds. :(
You have to download 'Adobe Digital Editions' onto a computer. http://www.adobe.com/products/digital...
Okay thanks :D Sorry for those buddy reads that I've missed. Kind of busy at school. :( Can I still read those books and use the threads even though it's late already? :3
Yay! Down to 60 review copies! It's still a lot, but I'm so pleased because it means that my R2R shelf only takes up two pages on goodreads not 3! (little things and all)

I remember when it went back over onto two pages before and I was like 'oh dear', then it went over 3 and I knew I was in trouble!

I know! I need to get it back down to single figures. I worked really hard last august-october time and I think I got down to 7? I've acumulated a lot since then though and with doing challenges I haven't managed to keep up!

I just kept signing up for more and more books and things got out of control!
I stopped requesting about a week ago because I couldn't deal with the number going up any more, problem is I then had a couple approved which I hadn't expected, got another one from joining a street team for a book, had an author offer me the second book in her series and I really liked the first one so couldn't say no, and then get sent a review copy that I requested in january, that the author had only just gotten round to sending! nuts!
Sarah wrote: "I stopped requesting about a week ago because I couldn't deal with the number going up any more, problem is I then had a couple approved which I hadn't expected, got another one from joining a str..."I've mostly stopped. I'm only requesting sequels now because I cannot deal with anymore. Just went through my kindle to check I had them all written down and I found more so my number is back up to 33. Then I had the author of Goodbye Normal ask my to beta read the second book of the series and I just got an email saying I have two weeks to review this other book that I haven't started yet! Its crazy isn't it!?
I've had authors ask me to beta read but I've always refused. It is a lot of work, for little reward. especially as authors as you to beta read books you didn't like to tell them how to improve them. who wants to keep reading something they don't like?
Okay guys, sign-ups for May's review copy challenge are up - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Is anybody's review-copy pile any shorter yet?

I don't think mine is shorter but I have gotten a few read so I am happy! :) I want to try and get my list at least down to 20 by the end of May. Thanks for keeping the challenge going!! :)
Emily wrote: "you're joking right? every time I finish one I feel like I get two more 0_0"Me too but I am hoping I'll get on top of it by the end of May! I have gotten nearly one and a half read just today so if I keep that up I'll have them finish in no time. :)
I think I had roughly 60 when I started the challenge, and I'm now down to 58. Thing is I've read 46, so I had hoped to have been much further down than I am!
Sarah wrote: "I think I had roughly 60 when I started the challenge, and I'm now down to 58. Thing is I've read 46, so I had hoped to have been much further down than I am!"Oh you're joking! 46!? That's amazing, you should be proud. Even if it didn't really lower your overall number! :)
Sarah wrote: "I think I had roughly 60 when I started the challenge, and I'm now down to 58. I've set a new speed record these last couple of weeks! I've never got through books so fast before!

You'll get there if you keep up this pace - easily! :)
I always want to read books that I've just been approved for rather than the ones I've had for ages!
Does anyone ever not want to read a book once they've had it for a while? I sometimes think 'why did I request that one?'
