Kirsten (kmcripn) I have 17 left.

Katherine (kiik) | 158 comments I think I have 13 or 14 left. Definitely doable. Most of that depends on the length of your books and how busy life is at the moment. But sometimes it's just about priorities. We make time for the things we care about. If completing the challenge is important to you, I think you will get there.

Tara Bates | 1008 comments I agree with Katherine you can do it, it's doable but will probably have to be deliberate. A lot of people also seem to be checking off multiple categories with one book (I think 3 max) so if you're open to that it could help.

Tara Bates | 1008 comments You could consider just switching out some shorter books for your longer choices. For example I originally was going to use got as my tv one but decided to read dexter instead. At the moment I'm a bit ahead so I may have time to read it after all but it is one way to help quicken things up. I am with you on the multiple checks for one book lol I won't either!

Tara Bates | 1008 comments Good luck! You can do it :)

Jackie | 734 comments Pick some short books (like could finish in a few hours short) and just slot in some time when you are going to just read. Knock out a bunch that way and once you're back on schedule you'll feel a lot more confident. There are a lot of really great books you can finish in a single sitting. The Old Man and the Sea, The Great Gatsby, etc etc.

Tara Bates | 1008 comments I just read the Christmas thief by Mary Higgins Clark in one evening to check off a book set at Christmas

Kaci | 67 comments That's awesome you caught up Amy! I love how encouraging everyone is. I'm still pretty far behind but I'm reading double time!

Sara There really isn't a place to post this so I'm going to do it here! I finished the challenge last week! I did have to compromise on one prompt. I have read numerous books that usually make people cry, but I have yet to find one that works for me. Just this year I read at least 3 or 4 (Fault in Our Stars, Where the Red Fern Grows, etc), but no tears. I counted Where the Red Fern Grows because it is the one that touched me the most.

Now that I have completed this challenge and met my reading goal for the year I am relaxing some and focusing on just a few books for the remainder of the year.

For those of you still working on your challenge, keep reading! Whether you finish all 52 books or not this was a great way to encourage us to read more, and different, books. If you have done that then you are already successful!

Lisa (lrclark83) I have six prompts left. I think I'll finish but it will definitely be a fight to the finish. I was in a great position until I started a new teaching job in September and stopped reading for a while. I left some of the harder categories for last such as Lord of the Flies (a book I should have read in high school) and a five hundred pager.

Tara Bates | 1008 comments I found lord of the flies a pretty quick read you should be alright :) I have only 3 prompts left but I'm not super interested in them unfortunately lol

message 13: by Gabriella (new)

Gabriella I have 10 prompts left. I don't think I will finish but if I don't I will just keep going until I do, probably sometimes in January or February. I am still amazed I read 40 books so far!! Some of them very very long and many were books I wouldn't have read if it wasn't for this list and enjoyed very much. What I'm thinking now is: what next?
