Started it tonight

Ok Gis. I JUST got home. Long drive! On my way back from what should have been a 3 1/2 hour drive with my daughter my grandson called and needed a ride for his cousin to take him to Joshie's dad's in Manteca. I told him that I didn't mind swinging by and picking him up because I live in Manteca. Well, what neither Becky nor I knew is that his family just moved a month ago and long story short, since it's hard to explain to people who don't live here, he lives in the boondocks!!!! It took me nearly an extra 90 minutes to get him!! Ugh!!! I'm wiped out!! Lol I left at 1:45 and just now got home and it's nearly 7:00 so I'm tired!!!

I might or might not start tonight. LOL

Sorry, I read like 3 or 4 pages but couldn't stay awake, so I am started over today. How is it so far? I have't read enough to say yet, but I think it'll be one of those hard to say "it's a good" book, but it'll be good in its own way.

After reading this, I must say I enjoyed the book. It was totally different than anything else that I've read.

I totally understand why Dime (view spoiler)[had sex with "Daddy." He is manipulative and he's groomed her. Pedophiles KNOW how to get children's trust and how to manipulate them into doing things sexually eventually. She is only 13, and while people think 13 year old kids are "very grown up" or "mature" these days, they are still children. She is not to blame for what she did. Daddy is! Just even typing his name makes me SICK!!! What an awful world in which to live. I hate people who can take advantage of others who are so desperate for love and acceptance. It's truly disgusting! You'd think that Dime's (view spoiler)[ guardians would have called the cops by now. I wonder where they are in this story. I think they must have some culpability in all of this. Jenelle is pretty useless as a guardian of any kind. I HATE knowing this is some kids' reality!!! (hide spoiler)]

Finished Ch. 21

This book IS rather disturbing, but it also is (unfortunately) reality.

One thing that especially bothers me is how (view spoiler)[Dime wants so badly to be "Daddy's" favorite and how she "wants" him. It's disgusting because he GROOMED her and she only wants what she believes to be his "love." OMG!! It is so disgusting that both men and women can put little girls in such horrific situations. (hide spoiler)]

You'd think that L.A. and the other girls would (view spoiler)[all stick up for each other and cover for each other. That surprised me a little, like when Dime got the library book. Why on earth would any of the girls tell on her? That's even worse than Daddy, simply because as a female old enough to know better, they KNOW what he's doing to all of them. (hide spoiler)]

I'm going to finish this one within the next couple of days.

Finished. It was definitely a hard read, especially the very last chapter or so. I couldn't believe that (view spoiler)[Lollipop got pregnant and the Pig Daddy made Dime read up and deliver it. What a jackass!! Obviously I was totally disgusted that a little 11 year old girl who doesn't even know about her body yet got pregnant because of some pervert's self-centered lust. Ugh...I didn't think the birth itself was terribly realistic because I couldn't picture two girls of that age handling it SO well and without Lollipop screaming. I mean I was grown before I had my first baby and I didn't scream, but I had taken Lamaze classes and I knew what to expect and I handle pain well. I just didn't see Lollipop doing that well at 11 years old. It was a very sad ending for me. (hide spoiler)]
