Start time is noon EDST, whatever time that works out to be for you. Where do you live CFDeeDee? I live in Australia, so start time for me 2am Sunday morning.

CFDeeDee I'm in the Middle East .. i just googled it, wooow its 7 hours behind !
Its like if i took a plane at 6 am to one of those EDT timing region I'll arrive a day before ^^" LOL

Anyways, it means it'll start 7 am Saturday, ends around evening Saturday !

Sandra (sanlema) | 11261 comments Berit, I was in your team in February's toppler and you are a reading machine! Don't worry about the tittles you choose, I'm sure you'll sum a lot of points!

Sandra (sanlema) | 11261 comments I've only read 7% of Dracula and I'm having troubles to find time to read. So I downloaded the audio version to listen while doing a lot of stuff I have to do this weekend that need my hands and eyes but not my ears. So I'll start it from page 1 tomorrow at noon. The D is only 2 points, but it comes for free since I have to read it anyways. It's my book club reading and we meet on Monday. I'm also missing all the discussion here at YLTO. The thread has been very active, and I'm still in the first pages. Annoying! in addition I'm enjoying it.

As I said I have Quartet in Autumn ready. I'll choose another later, depending of the time I have, the mood (kind of changing), and if I need an audio or a print copy.

Actually, I think you are ahead 7 hours, so you would start reading at 7:00 PM.

When I look at the World Clock, it says New York City is 9:17 am (EDT) right now, and you are 4:17 pm (AST)

message 107: by Janice, Moderator (new)

I have Jackaby on hold, but I'm not sure it'll be available in time.

message 109: by Marie Claude (new)

Marie Claude (mariecg2001) | 1030 comments I will try to look for more definite titles tomorrow, but since I am also participating in Dewey's Read-a-thon, I know I should squeeze the following 2 during the weekend:

The Martian
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

I'll read Queen a Abaddon first and then Jackaby. I've got Magic Bleeds on hold at the library. I'm next in line, and have been for awhile. I suspect people don't know how to return an ebook and just wait for it to expire.

message 111: by CFDeeDee (new)

CFDeeDee @Janice That is so confusing :S I really suck in counting time !
I'll just start reading in the morning so I would be in the safe side ! It'll already late down here and I just got back home .. Feeling tired and having a headache .. Good luck everyone in your reading

message 112: by Berit☀️✨ (new)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) You can't start tomorrow morning you'd have to wait until Sunday morning or you can start at 7:00 on Saturday night, as I'm understanding it :-)
I just checked the clock as well and you are 10 hours ahead of me, and I can start at 9:00 in the morning, that puts you at 7:00 in the evening, have fun!

message 113: by CFDeeDee (new)

CFDeeDee @Berit Waaaaa !! Ok I'll stop counting hours and just read on Sunday or Monday to be on the safe side !

message 114: by Berit☀️✨ (new)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) LOL! I think you're safe if you start on Sunday!

You'll be fine if you start at 7:00 Saturday night. It will be more fun to start with the rest of us. Log in around 6:30 pm, chat up a storm, and you'll know when the reading begins.

message 116: by Kerri (new)

Kerri I won't be starting at the same time as everyone else, sorry but 2am is just a tad early/late for me. I usually wake up and log on to find everyone else is well on the way, some already having finished their first book. It's very motivating actually, I feel like I have to hurry up and catch up!

message 117: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments Yes, 2 am would be a bit brutal. I have to work tomorrow, but I'll be checking in periodically.

message 118: by Berit☀️✨ (new)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Trying to finish up my book before this starts, it starts at 9:00 in the morning for me :-)

message 119: by Kerri (new)

Kerri I'm not very organised this time I'm only a third of the way through my current book. I have no hope of finishing it, I'll dump it and pick it up again after the toppler.

message 120: by Berit☀️✨ (new)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) LOL! I said trying, doesn't mean it's going to happen, but I'm hopeful!

message 121: by Kerri (new)

Kerri Berit I was on your team for your first toppler, you were amazing. I reckon you could read at least 3 new books between now and the start if you wanted to.

message 122: by Berit☀️✨ (new)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Doubtful!but thanks for the encouragement, I do want to sleep tonight :-)

message 123: by CFDeeDee (new)

CFDeeDee That'll give me some time for studying for my exam on Monday .. I'll be back around 6:30 to see when exactly every one is starting !

message 124: by Sandra, Moderator (new)

Sandra (sanlema) | 11261 comments 8 am here right now. I'm catching up with GR notifications, getting ready for the toppler. I plan to do some groceries shopping before noon, taking Almeta's advice. :)

Beautiful fall day here!

message 125: by Debra (new)

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I'm going start with Zombie. Am at my sister's home, Almeta. As usual, we will start the Toppler together.

message 126: by Sandra, Moderator (new)

Sandra (sanlema) | 11261 comments Only one hour and a half to go!

message 127: by Berit☀️✨ (new)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Still trying to finish this book! I can do it! I should have got up earlier, just wasn't in the mood :-)

message 128: by CFDeeDee (new)

CFDeeDee I wanna replace The Gunslinger with Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children but I still didn't put my hands on a copy of it .. Maybe i'll get one tomorrow or after tomorrow !
I'll start with The King Of Torts

message 129: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I finished my non-toppler book this morning so I'm set to go. I'm not yet sure which one I'll start with but I have all the books here. I will be out this afternoon though to a Harry Potter event going on in the area (with my daughter) but will be home tonight to get going on my reads.

Good luck to all, less than an hour to start time! Sounds like we have some heavy readers in this group so it seems we will do very well!

message 130: by Roz (last edited Oct 17, 2015 08:40AM) (new)

Roz | 4530 comments I finished reading The Art of Racing in the Rain about 15 minutes ago so I'm ready to start the Toppler on time. I have about 5 on my Kindle from the list I posted earlier so I'm set to start at noon. Just going to take a quick shower (it's a lazy day here) and put in a load of wash. Not sure what I'll start with.

message 131: by Sandra, Moderator (new)

Sandra (sanlema) | 11261 comments I finished BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA this morning. Now starting my first toppler read DRACULA.
Happy toppler, team!

Sandra (sanlema) | 11261 comments Maybe sleeping pills in her drink?

message 134: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I just woke up. I couldn't sleep last night. Just laid in bed with my eyes bugged out. So, I finished the pre-toppler ebook I was reading and can start with a fresh slate with the print books, but will have to set Outlander aside with 15 hours left in the audiobook. I finally fell asleep around 5:00 this morning. I do need to get to work, so won't start my first toppler book till this afternoon. I'm going to start with Jhereg on audiobook and Queen of Abaddon on ebook.

message 135: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments If anyone is on twitter, use #tbrtoppler to discuss the books you're reading or anything toppler related.

message 136: by Berit☀️✨ (new)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) OK, I'm off and running, or actually I'm going to hop on my bike and listen to my audiobook, starting with When Your Gone, a quick easy romance book.

message 137: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments Is this the one you're reading, Berit? When You're Gone It sounds like a memoir. Enjoy your bike ride!

Why? Because my sister just happened to have mentioned it? It WAS on my TBR at least. I would have found it when gophering. But it's easier when my sister gives me suggestions! lol

Btw, the psycho in Zombie was born and currently lives in my state, Michigan. Not many books based in Michigan that I know of.

message 139: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments No, I was thinking along the line of slipping something in her drink to make her sleep while you read. I know, I'm evil.

message 140: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments Okay - must stop checking Goodreads and get to work so that I can finish it and get reading.

message 141: by Roz (new)

Roz | 4530 comments I'm starting with Yellow Crocus. It's been on my TBR shelf and my kindle for ages. Time to topple it.

message 142: by Dawn (new)
