Should there really be another book?

When I first heard about A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas , I heard it was a stand alone, and after reading it, more like inhaling it, I thought it was a great stand alone, but to my surprise it is the first book to Sarah J. Mass's new adult trilogy. Now don't get me wrong, I loved the novel and the story was amazing, in fact the reason as to why I'm still pondering why this is not a stand alone is because I honestly do not believe Sarah needed to add more into the story. The main couple got together, the antagonist is gone, everyone is happy, well maybe not Rhysand, but if everyone, including the reader, is happy why build up more? I do not understand what else it there too add, if it was anyone but Sarah J. Mass I would not appreciate these turn of events, but because it IS the queen of Fantasy, in my opinion,I can not wait until the next book, how ever it may turn out plot wise, which I have a feeling will be another fairy tell re-telling.

I think there should be. I'm really curious to see how Feyre's bargain with Rhysand plays out, and also to see what the other courts are like.

That's exactly what i thought once i read the book. I honestly could not think of what more could possibly happen in the series, but everyone (including me) wants more Rhysand soooo... on to the next one.

I would love to see what happens next. I hope it's something fresh because the villain is dead.

It's what they do in publishing now: extend books into series to make more money.

I was actually hoping it would be a stand alone. Should have known better. :(

I feel like there is room for more books, and there's more we can learn about the world and the characters, however, the novel does feel more like a stand alone.

I'm looking forward to another book in the series, but at the same time I'm not looking forward to the inevitable love triangle I feel coming on. I can hardly handle the switching of love interests in Sarah's other series so I hope that it doesn't overpower this series as well.

Well, Sarah J. Maas is the darling cash cow of the publishing house....they gotta squeeze out more dough.....so make it a trilogy and guarantee them at least a million+ more in revenue, plus marketing sales and promo. heck, Maybe even a movie deal in the future. It's all about the Money. And now that Maas's YA readers are growing up she is marketing her stories to an older wiser demographic. It's a good marketing move. Looking forward to seeing where this all goes. Love her work!

omg that's exactly what i thought when i finish the book!
