It didn't bother me that Larsson didn't write this book. I was fine with the character portrayal. It's been quite a while now since I read Larsson's three books, but Lagercrantz's continuation, although not perfect, was satisfactory to me.

I will follow the discussion, but I am pretty confident I won't clear the waitlist at the library before the end of Oct. I did not read "Hornet's Nest", so I'm watching the Swedish tv series for books 1 & 2 as a memory refresh and then will read Hornet's Nest in anticipation of Spider's Web.

At first I thought "no way will I read a Girl with not written by Larsson!", but after seeing so many good reviews and endorsements by friends I have reconsidered. :)

I've just started to read this book as an ebook. I did hesitate a bit when it came out initially, knowing that Larsson isn't the author and I loved the first 3. After reading some reviews, I'm going to give it a go.

Apparantly it isn't the last. I saw on our MCT Facebook page, the publisher has announced that there are 2 more coming out by this new author. These will have no contribution from Larsson at all.
