Hey Lincoln!! The Viking character thing is part of my Time Walkers series, so Rysa suggested I take on the character of Tate who studies Viking history. He was a character who did not have a lot of backstory, so I had a lot of free rein to be creative. I was wary of creating any stories with Rysa's main characters because I think that is tough sometimes for readers to enjoy. Tate was the perfect fit.
I was so glad to have E.B. step in to handle Tate's backstory. He plays a significant role in Time's Mirror (the Pru novella) and Time's Divide (the last book), but the constraints of tying up all of the loose ends (and the constraints of writing in first person) meant that I couldn't really flesh him out as much as I'd have liked. It was great to be able to hand Tate's story over to someone in whom I had full confidence as a writer, and know that she'd fill in the missing pieces. And the best part is that I got to read a fun new novella series set in my universe, with surprises that you don't usually get when you're the one shaping the story. :)E.B. wrote: "Lincoln wrote: "Hey E.B.,

Half way. Tension building between being a good chronos historian or throwing it to the wind in the name of LOVE! ❤️
Just finished it. Interesting bits of Viking history in the plot. Being part of a viking crew seems like a hazardous job.
Finished reading...and immediately started watching Vikings...The History Channel drama. The very fist episode two men show up to harass the women that were left alone in the village. "You going to kill me?" She says. "You couldn't kill me, if you tried for a hundred years!" She than uses a fire poker as a sword and kills the men coming to harass her.
I like the Women power....but overall the fighting amongst each other to maintain your reputation would have me pretty low in the hierarchy,
I really enjoyed Chapter 7 I was unsure what Tate was going to decide to do. So close and yet so far. Very heart warming E.B.

About the Book (GoodReads blurb)
HISTORY IS SACRED - LIKE A NATURE HIKE. LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS, TAKE ONLY MEMORIES.
Every CHRONOS historian obeys the rules, and Tate Poulsen is no exception. On a routine assignment to 11th century Vinland, he discovers that the legendary Viking leader Freydis Eiríksdóttir is going to exterminate one-half of her traveling party. Tate is faced with the task of observing the historical episode - a duty he has always upheld - until a young Norsewoman named Maya makes him question everything he ever believed in.
Will Tate save Maya from death at the hands of Freydis? Or will he turn his back on her as any loyal CHRONOS historian should do?
