My great grandfather migrated from the Shetlands to Australia. I've been to Scotland in winter but couldn't go further north. Must see it one day.
I’ve lived in Washington, D.C. most of my life and live in a small town now called Lititz, PA. It’s a nice place to be, famous for pretzels and chocolate (-;
I lived here for a while as a kid..https://www.watchhilllighthousekeeper...
Dad was the last lighthouse keeper before they automated it.

I live in Chambéry, Savoie (the French Alps)We got a lot of snow last week, and a bright sun today
I also lived in London for 8 eights (my cup of tea)
Lol Jon, my friend would love that. I love hearing where everyone is from. To me it all sounds so exotic and romantic. I’m from Tennessee. It’s ok here. Really pretty and I don’t think I could live without the Appalachian mountains near me.
I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne (probably the oldest of the various world Newcastles) in the North-East of England - a former mining and industrial town that's successfully converted itself into a nightlife and shopping hotspot. Very lively, friendly city.

I lived in and around Reading, PA for almost 30 yrs. I miss the pretzels from that area so much I order them from Unique Pretzels a few times a year. So good.

Jessie wrote: "I live in Alaska. Moved up from Louisiana eons ago."That sounds like quite a change!!! I actually applied for a job in Alaska some years ago but I never heard back lol.

Me too. I grew up in Temple, PA which is ten minutes from Reading. Now I live near Hershey, PA, the sweetest place on earth!😉😁💗🍫💗
Vickie, I'm curious if chocolate is still being made in Hershey. I remember a few years back hearing that a lot of the factories had been moved to Mexico.
I miss PA this time of year with the trees changing color and the cooler weather.

Hi, I come from Ecuador but live in Germany. I am not so active in the group as I'd wish. I read a lot of the threads but hardly ever place a comment...
Military brat. I did get to live in a couple of New England Lighthouses before they were automated. Cool place to be a kid and helped inspire a lifelong love of reading. (Not a lot to do in a Lighthouse on an island in the middle of Winter before cable was as common as having running water!)

I'm from southern Illinois in USA (near St. Louis, Missourri)But I currently live in Hội An, Vietnam
NC originally - Dad was in the USCG so I got to live super close to the beach growing up. (Like lived IN 2 Lighthouses then right beside another one). Bounced around to Northern Cali and ended up in FL after being haze grey and underway for awhile. (USN)
I forgot to mention on this thread that after Paradise, CA burned to the ground, I ended up just down the hill in Chico. I'm still rebuilding my collection of books and art but on the whole I'm really enjoying it here.
