To be honest i rated it 1, because I was just upset with the series pretty much. Lol but I had to change my ratings because I was being harsh on the series, to be honest I thought twilight was okay, but I really enjoyed New Moon because of Jacob<3 breaking dawn will forever be one star though:o lol

@Matty New Moon is by far the worst of the series for me and Breaking Dawn my favourite. I have read that one the most :) I sometimes skip the middle though.

Oh well, it bodes well for Vicki that I am the only one that doesn't really like this book, it's only really the middle I dislike, gets better again towards the end.

Well, I am NOT a Jacob fan, so I have probs from that standpoint - but the ending? FABU!

I don't know - it's a personality clash I think. It seems to be mostly me... everyone else loves him, lol!

Maybe we can discuss it more after you read this book - I don't want to color your opinion of him before you even get to "really" meet him!

The book started out fine. Bella not wanting a birthday party or gifts and everybody insisting on doing it made me giggle at times. But, the end was mindblowing, the way Bella's blood spilt and the way the Cullens (especially Jasper) reacted. Can't wait to read more!

(view spoiler)[ I liked how in the prologue that Bella thought she was looking at her Grandma when in fact she was looking at herself in old age. I've always liked birthdays. I'm not sure why Bella doesn't like birthdays. Maybe it's because she started dating Edward and doesn't like being older then him. (hide spoiler)]

Ok, I just have to get a pet peeve off my chest - it's not just this book, it's all continuing books in series... where they spend the first part of the chapter making sure you knew what happened in book 1, in case you didn't know... um GO READ BOOK 1... stop wasting my precious reading time recapping something I already know! LOL!

So, chapter 1.

I both love it and don't love it. I feel so bad for bella and that dream about her gran... I know that's her WORST fear and it makes me sad for her.

And (view spoiler)[ I love the party. And I also love that she cuts her finger and sends the story into motion - because even tho a lot of ppl criticize this book, it can't be all rainbows and sunshine, now can it? These steps are necessary for the development of the series - and also so we can get to know Jacob a bit better.

I bet falling in all that glass hurt WAY more than the paper cut! (hide spoiler)]

Anyone else reading this? No guilt or pressure, I'm just curious. It's the only book I have on my phone right now, and work has been TORTUROUSLY slow, so I've fallen back on reading this...

I've finished 11 chapters now... I know a lot of ppl don't like this book, but i really do enjoy it.

My one NEW thought (or maybe I've had it before and just forgotten, lol) is (view spoiler)[ I can't believe Edward didn't consider the possibility that Victora or any other "monster" wouldn't come back for Bella. That he would essentially leave her unguarded. I was kind of floored when I had that thought. I'm surprised he didn't have Alice "watching" her... or if he did that his wasn't seen...
