Thanks - And this was my 50th book this year wtich completed my 50 books goal for this year! I have made some personal reading goals for next year so the quarterly challenges may be harder to accomplish if they conflict with the my overall goals.

message 164: by Barb (new)

Barb finished #4, Every Day (Every Day, #1) by David Levithan - owned & TBR for a while.

I don't think I'll make it through the whole challenge. I'm going to struggle to finish one more book to make my 45 for the year!

Rock on, Kdbrand! Congratulations on completing the challenge and Happy New Year!!!

(Which suddenly reminds me that I've got to put up the challenge for next quarter... like right now! Ha!)

message 171: by Barb (new)

Barb I did it! I finished! Woot! I think I've finished every challenge this year. Yay!

I read Life As We Knew It (Last Survivors, #1) by Susan Beth Pfeffer in less than two days. I couldn't put it down, and felt an overwhelming urge to go grocery shopping. Not helped by the snow storm that came through last night.

I've owned it since 2011 or whenever Borders went out of business in Minnesota.

First off, Barb, Congratulations on completing this (and all previous) challenge!!

Second, isn't that book just awesome and intense? I loved it (as much as one can love a situation that tense). There were so many times when I wanted to be upset with the main character for being whiny or acting out and then had to think "you know what? She's a teenager! And she's stuck in close confinement for WEEKS ON END with her family just trying to survive." You can bet I'd be cranky and unreasonable, too! Hahaa.
