Congratulations, Kelly! You're the first to complete this challenge!

But of course, you're welcome to do a second round and/or just keep going if you're finding this inspiring :)

Gremlin | 966 comments I've updated myself, as well. I finally got around to reading The Scar Boys by Len Vlahos . Why did I wait so long?!

How was Peeps? I've been wanting to read that one for a while now.

message 111: by R.A. (new)

R.A. Desilets | 375 comments Lyzzibug - Peeps was good, but I really (really) like parasites. There's a lot of non-fiction stuff added to the book in certain chapters, which was strange to read at first, but it ended up making sense towards the end. As always, Westerfeld's narrative was easy to read, making it a quick one :)

R.A. Desilets | 375 comments Finished Blood of My Blood (Jasper Dent, #3) by Barry Lyga today! I'm so far behind on my year goal, so I'm using this challenge to catch up ^_^ updated 105!

laurel [the suspected bibliophile] (laurelthereader) Holy crap I'm severely behind on this one. There are so many new books coming out it's like "I must get to my TBR on my kindle--SQUIRREL!--okay, focus, focus, focus, let's open—OOOH SHINY!"

Finished 4/6, and post #15 is updated.

Congratulations, Kelly! You've done a splendid job of finishing the challenge in only half the time!

If you're feeling up for it and still into clearing some more things off your plate, feel free to run through the challenge a second time!

Amber (amberm867) Finished book #4 - Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer .

(I think this counts?)

Also, can I read Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) by Marissa Meyer for this challenge? I'm reading it regardless, I just want to know if it'll count.

Updated original post #20

laurel [the suspected bibliophile] (laurelthereader) Finished Book 5/6.

Hi Amber - it can totally count! The rules are pretty open ended in terms of quantity ("one or more in a series") so long as it was a series that you'd stopped reading 6 months ago (or more) and started reading again for the challenge.

message 122: by Gremlin (last edited Nov 23, 2015 08:39AM) (new)

Gremlin | 966 comments Updated!

Also, I posted my own completed book - Thereby Hangs a Tail (A Chet and Bernie Mystery #2) by Spencer Quinn - from an adult mystery series. (Man - I'm a sucker for animal POV stories).

Ooooooh . . . then I can count Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4) by Sarah J. Maas (series). Book 6/6 completed and post #15 is updated.

I might shoot for double, but I don't think I'm going to push it too much with everything going on next month.

Have you read the whole series? The books are super fun, though I feel like they might be especially good in a way that ginger is good while you're eating sushi. A fun palate cleanser.

Congratulations, Laurel!! If shooting for double seems like a challenge, you can shoot for half - or pick your own new challenge number (like Diane did) - or even just shoot for MORE. I'm happy to continue to keep track with you :)

R.A. Desilets | 375 comments Updated #105. The Vault of Dreamers (The Vault of Dreamers, #1) by Caragh M. O'Brien from my goodreads TBR List. Good read -- I like Caragh's writing a lot. The pacing felt off in the last quarter of the book, but darn it, I really need the sequel now because that ending.

Just the first 4 I think. I haven't read them since my dog died. But I will again. And I agree, they are good as a palate cleanser. A fun, not thinking sort of book. They make me laugh and smile.

Hmmmm . . . I make no promises but I'll see what I can wrangle up! I want to continue but not entirely sure how many more it'll be. I've read a TON of adult books (not naughty adult just adult) books on my owned/TBR, just not so much the YA.

I totally feel you! I've been reading a lot of things that have been on my list for a while, but so much of it has been adult. I think once I finish this challenge, I'll continue the challenge, but I'll get rid of the YA rule and just let myself read whatever I want :P (Because I figure once we've finished the challenge as its laid out, the rest is gravy, right?)

In general I enjoyed the book and it introduces some new characters that I liked... but the first one was soooo much better, so it was a tiny bit of a letdown too.
