Unable to combine editions even though author names are (practically) the same

I tried to combine these titles but couldn't:

I think that happened because the name of the author on the second one, even though it's spelled the same, is listed under a different (duplicate?) author profile.

Maybe this author profile should be deleted and all the titles listed under it should be combined into those from the proper profile.

Could anyone do this or resolve this issue in any other way? Because I really have no idea how we should proceed that.

Moved the books to the right profile (William^^^Ritter) and combined. Not all books on that profile were by the same author, so no combining of profiles.

I see what you mean. Someone probably listed those Beastly Bones editions under the wrong William Ritter and caused the mess that I found and you corrected.

Automatic imports always go to the single-space profile; that's probably what happened here.
