I am also working on a book trailer. I like the composition and sound quality of your video. I can see you followed your own advice and planned very well in advance. Nice production quality. I hope mine will be of equal quality. If I hear of a contest, I'll post it here.

 Hey everyone,
Hey everyone,Just wanted to share the website of the guys that produced all of trailers for my children's books. They are super affordable and work on ANY genre.
They are called LoewenHerz-Creative. I've included the link to some of their samples below:

Good luck with your book's promotion!!!

Here are some helpful tips I learned in the process of making my trailer:
-Focus on the key characters and central plot, no need to show everything. Take a key concept and theme and expand upon it to make visuals. It needs to be visual so people can understand the base as quickly as possible.
-Voice overs are really hard to pull off without making the video seem cheesy. make sure you find an actor with the perfect narrating voice, and don't skimp over the audio quality. If it's bad it can take your audience out of it because the voiceover is throughout the entire trailer.
- focusing on the costumes and location is key, as they set the mood for the imagery. Noone wants to be looking at a bland white wall in it, they want to be taken to a different world- the world of your book!
- Start big, then as your budget evolves and takes shape, start cutting back what you don't need.
- Sound design is your best friend.
- Have fun with it and don't be afraid to take risks.
