Lena Zhu | 65 comments I do not remember this book's title, but I do remember that it was some time ago that I got this book. On the cover, most of the color is brown. The girl has long, brown wavy hair. It is a close up (from head to chin).

The book itself is about this girl who loves to draw and paint. In the beginning, she is in bed and it is fall. She hears a chainsaw and she sees that her favorite tree is being cut down (from her yard. Her dad is doing this). She jumps up from the bed and tries to get as much of the tree sketched as possible. Somewhere in the middle or to the end it starts getting really sad. This is all I know.

There is also this one part in the beginning where the girl is talking to her friend about traveling to Spain or something and then her friend goes:
"Spanish guys are muy caliente!"
or something to that extent.

The heroine has mono at the beginning of the book, goes home to recover, and rediscovers her love for painting.

Time period/location story takes place?
Part of a series?

Hi. I do not think that this is the book I was looking for. Thank you for trying, though.

I read it when I was young, probably when I was about 13 years old. I do not think the age I read this book should matter, though. It wasn't too new, I think. But it did have a girl with brown wavy hair on the cover.

As far as I know, it should be in the modern time period. It is fiction. I do not believe the location of the story is given, but I do not think it is anywhere outside of the US.

No, it is not a part of a series. The ending was sad enough and acted as a closure for the book to end with those pages.

I don't think I ever finished his book. I picked it up at a doctor's office a long time ago. I'm going to read it! Thanks you so much for trying to help me! :)
