On pages 2-3 Mrs. Watson warns Huckleberry Finn of a bad place, presumably hell. Huck is not phased by this and asks Mrs. Watson if she thought Tom Sawyer would go to this bad place. When she responds yes Huck is glad because he can literally follow Tom into hell. What does this say about Huckleberry Finn's character?

He say's he's glad about it because "because I wanted him and me to be together." Tom's his friend and because the grass is always greener, Huck figures hell with Tom's got to be better/more enjoyable than living with the Widow Douglas.
