Campbell has always been the girl with the crazy blonde hair, and deep green eyes. Her hair is as wild as her, always tangeled, and, honestly, she never even tries to run a brush through it. It adds charm. She has a rathee small, and kind of fat face, although, that is the only thing remotely fat about her. She is small, skinny, and rather flatechested. She doesn't have any special markings, other than, well, her mouth. And her district token is a silver bracelet, that fits tight to her skin.

Campbell is often known as the girl who has a mouth too big for her body. She is sixteen years of age, and she tends not to think through things very well. She is a tribute for district nine because she made the stupid mistake of jokingly saying "I volunteer'.The capitol, did not however, take this as a joke. She is a little wild, and takes her opportunities to curse the capitol when she can. In her mind, Campbell is just having some good fun. Honestly, the capitol might not be ready for a wild spirit like her.

Honestly, Campbell's parents were always telling her to think things through, to keep track of her head, blah, blah, blah. Her mind works as 'doing, not thinking'. Being in Lumber, she's worked some in Lumbering, but not much. She was always clever ebough to trick someone into doing it for her. Yes, Campbell does have a brain. She just doesn't use it for the right purposes. Usually, her trickiness can get her out of situations her mouth has gotten her into. That isn't very possible in this situation, however. So, she settles on taking it all out in a little bit of rage and sassiness- all with a great big, obnoxious smile on her face. At moments, she can feel worried about what will happen, but she does her best to hide it. All anyone sees is a carefree, stupid, and slightly angry girl. The one thing she knows, is that she will make her mark with her mouth. She will live on after she dies. And she knows the capitol needs them. And not everyone can be killed, not everyone will die and be forgotten after the games. Oh, and she'll tell the Captitol that.

It was snowing—it always snowed harshly in District 9. And yet little Gabriel found his way to the beach—small hands in his parents. They didn’t question him when he asked to come to the beach when it was 30 degrees out. They just passed nodded and zipped Gabriel up in the warmest clothes they could find. They took him to the beach and the water wasn’t what youd think itd look like. There were clumps of ices swishing around the salty water. The snow had blanketed the sand and midway through walking to the edge of the water, Gabriel’s father had to pick him up fore he sunk in the snow. He watched silently and before he knew it, his mother was speaking to him. “Sometimes Gabe darling…things don’t always work out. Sometimes, our lives are like the ocean waves, sometimes we have ice in our way and sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as we want them to,” Gabriel didn’t understand. He diverted his eyes from the water to meet his mother’s gray eyes. They never quite came right out and said it. They didn’t tell him that that was the last time he was going to hold onto his father. They never told him that that was going to be the last time they would do anything else as a family. At the end of the day, his father hugged him tight and kissed him on his forehead and left—no turning back. The last thing he said was to his mother—“Take care of my son Janice.”

There was no care or love, it was more of demand in its own way. The house felt empty from then on. Even when men came into the house as he grew older to spend the night, it still felt empty. But he had other things to hold onto. He went to school. He had a job. And everyday at 5:03 exactly he’d lean against the wall of the grocery store and pretend to gaze somewhere else even though his mind was entirely focused on the prettiest girl he’d seen since the fourth grade. Her name was Candice. Her friends called her Candy and spoke to her with such ease that he could only hope for. Around the age of fifteen, it was pretty much obvious that he had a crush and boy did he get beat for it. He was a loser. One with the slut of a mother and the father that didn’t want to be a part of their broken family. What made him think that he had a shot with her? He didn’t. The girl came to him one day, knocking on his door, blonde hair tied sleek in high ponytail. He opened his mouth but before any words tumbled out, she shut him down. “Don’t. Listen to me now, and listen to me straight. I don’t want anything to do with you. You repulse me. Why do you even try boy with the broken family? That’s what they call you right? Well can you blame them? Youre just as broken as the rest of them.” With that she left and that was all he saw of her…until the Reapings.

A girl’s name had been called. Not Candice, but a sweet twelve year old who quivered as she walked on stage. A boy’s name was called. Not his, but a boy of fourteen who’s name went by the name of Christian. Candice’s brother. Her cries echoed as a look of fear passed through Christian’s face. He didn’t know out of impulse or pure stupidity, but he found his hand raising and a voice that he didn’t recognize as his own calling out to volunteer. When Candice went to see him, he told her to get out. He didn’t want to talk to her and in turn called her self absorbed bitch. Served her right after all. Now that he could basically say goodbye to his life. The games went by extremely slowly. Pain coursed through his body and when it came down to it, his tactic of staying hidden rewarded him with victory when he was able to hide behind a bush and throw a knife into the competitors back. He was welcomed home as a hero and the girl that he thought he once loved looked at him with regret. And as much as Gabriel wanted to go back to his old life, he couldn’t, he was the District 9 mentor now. He was now and forever would be in the Capitol’s control.

[ Personality ] Teal was a very lonely girl. She never had much friends in school, and was always the outcast for some reason. Maybe it was because she never talked to anyone. Maybe it was because she was the smart one-she would always get teased and bullied by a few girls and boys, anyway, probably because they were jealous of her smartness and beauty. Maybe it was because she preferred acting to sport, because she preferred reading to hanging out, because she preferred...preferred anything to what the bullies enjoyed, actually. There would always be some silly excuse to mock her.

She'd often fantasize about injuring, or even killing the bullies, what with her knife-throwing skills and all, but how could she ever do that? She knew she never would-she called herself crazy. Anyway, Teal was always that lonely, smart, book-loving, rejected-by-social-life girl. Her only true friends were her mother and her dog, Fallstreak. She'd confide everything in Fallstreak, actually. She was her real friend.

[ History ] Teal grew up in district 10 watching her father slaughter cows. At first this was very confronting, but as she lived in this district, her father thought it best that she new how to slaughter cows-she eventually got used to it. She never did so herself though, as she would never become a livestock slaughterer. Her father also showed her the tricks of knives. He trained her to throw knives and to stab since she was 11, and by the age of 13 she could handle it and the slaughtering of livestock well. That's when she was given her token-a celtic shield on a necklace-by her father, for having courage and strength to use the knives and withstand the slaughtering.

There was a small forest near the district blocked off by a fence (yes, I know what your thinking. Btw I hope no one minds my creating a forest for the district-the location isn't known anyway :/ ). Teal would often use a few trees growing on the inside to climb over the fence. The forest was her peaceful getaway from all the poverty in her district. Her mother taught her of certain plants-what not to eat and what to eat-and Teal would gather different, safe plants and wild berries from the forest to bring back home to eat. She would also pratice her knife stabbing and throwing on a few trees, and occasionally a wild animal (ugh its so similar to the book!) which she would bring home for food.

Sagitarria is not a textbook beauty in any way, shape or form. She is short, barely reaching five-foot-three inches, and somewhat stocky, with opposite of elegant limbs. Not to mention she has no real curves. Taria has broad shoulders and strong arms, and she finds her build quite manly. Her hair is fiery red and barely grazes her shoulders in slight curls. Her facial features could be described as pretty, but she begs to differ. She has a strong jaw and wide nose, semi-high cheek bones, full... ish lips, and deep sparkling green eyes framed by barely noticeable eyelashes. She thinks the only thing she really has going for her is her green eyes and red hair, even though nobody knows what she's talking about when she complains about her other physical characteristics. In reality, Sagitarria is just extremely self conscious and doesn't realize that she doesn't look manly, and she actually is quite pretty. By the capitol's terms however... She is an outcast. She doesn't wear much makeup and she hates all the eccentric fashion... Which is probably why she was chosen to escort the District 12 tributes of all people... Not to mention, her mother had been the previous escort, and her mother before that. It ran in the family.
