Shraddha Bhatia (shraddhabhatia) | 23 comments I'm afraid I don't remember much about this book. my sister had borrowed it from her library sometime between 2005-2006.
it was a series of books based on the lives of some young adults/teenagers.
I remember some things vaguely. the cover art of all the books had a kind of a strip on the top with pictures of all characters (similar to the secret seven cover art). I had read three of the books but there were more in the series! I think the title of each book was a single word long. And one of the characters was a beautiful girl with blonde hair who was molested by someone and was keeping it a secret and that was eating her up!

Sophie (notemily) | 477 comments Could it be something by Katherine Applegate? The Ocean City books have kind of a strip at the top with the characters:

Ocean City (Ocean City, #1) by Katherine Applegate

And a lot of the titles in that series are one word long.

Shraddha Bhatia (shraddhabhatia) | 23 comments Hi Sophie,
unfortunately that isn't the series. The one I had read was about younger kids. High School students I think!

bb. (magnumopus) | 91 comments The Sweet Valley High series by Francine Pascal?

Shraddha Bhatia (shraddhabhatia) | 23 comments nope...those weren't it either...

Rachel | 1527 comments Could be the Making Out series by Katherine Applegate (the series was also known as Boyfriends/Girlfriends).

There was a book in which a girl was abused and was keeping it a secret (the book was Nina Won't Tell) although I think she had dark hair.

You can see books in the series here: https://www.goodreads.com/series/4057...

Kris (stiner) | 18 comments We have a series with a similar type cover in the YA section of our library; when I get there tonight I'll check to see the author. If I remember correctly, the author name is toward the end of the alphabet (I'm thinking W).

Shraddha Bhatia (shraddhabhatia) | 23 comments Hi Rachel, I thought it was the making out series too...but back when I had read it I remember it only had 7-8 books in the series...and the cover was different. So I am not too sure but I'll check this one out.
Kris, it would be really nice if you could do that :)

Railyn (funky-rat) | 243 comments Any chance it could have been one of the books that came out of the Degrassi High tv show? I know they were re-released when Degrassi The Next Generation came out with different covers. Each one was based on one of the kids in the group. I've never read them so I can't help much there, but I own the series and one of the kids in the show was molested and kept it a secret until she couldn't hold it anymore.

Sophie (notemily) | 477 comments the making out series used to be called "boyfriends/girlfriends" with gray covers, if that helps.

message 12: by Nora (new)

Nora | 2 comments Hi could it be the Private series by Kate Brian.

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 22 comments This is another that came to mind but is less likely: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6....

Shraddha Bhatia (shraddhabhatia) | 23 comments hi...it isn't any of the series mentioned above. it would be wonderful if I found it...but I'm not actively looking for it anymore

Are you passively looking? We can keep the thread open as long as Goodreads exists and there are human bodies or artificial intelligences to post in the threads.

Rosa (rosaiglarsh) | 5380 comments Obviously she's still passively looking for it, and we haven't reached the apocalypse yet, so I'd advise keeping it open.

Obviously? She last posted in this group in 2015 and was last on Goodreads in 2017.

Debra Firestone | 127 comments Have you tried the Animorphs series by Katherine Applegate? The first book is titled The Invasion https://www.goodreads.com/series/4044.... While it doesn't have all the characters on the cover, each cover shows a different one of the main characters.

message 21: by Ann (new)

Ann | 530 comments Shraddha, can you share the Secret Seven cover art that looks similar to the series you are searching for? Secret Seven has different editions.

Newer editions of the Babysitters Club series by Ann M. Martin have a photo strip of the characters on the cover, but it may be younger than the age range you're seeking.

Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard? https://www.goodreads.com/series/4403...
