KIDNAP. It's melting the ice cream in my freezer.

I made the choice to present the Journey Charm without a contextual translation because it was alien. There is a translation at the back of the book, along with other lines of otherwise untranslated poetry. I was advised by my most strenuous critic and editor (my wife) to remove all but the most fleeting extracts of Welsh poetry, which I agreed with her were un-necessary because Cadfan himself understands the poetry because he is Welsh. The only logical alternative would be to write the entire dialogue in Welsh, which is not only beyond my capabilities but also would severely limit the target audience to those who live within the Principality and, I believe, a community in Patagonia.

I think a Welsh language version would be great, Kevin and I bet you might even find some funding for that - if not from a Welsh cultural organisation but from some EU grant - promoting indigenous languages is just up their street...

I will be done this weekend, I'm getting a little editing done today, giving myself a break, first day moving around this week, will probably read it this weekend, I have communicated with F.S. Fayth, as I finished her book also. Thanks for the reminder and confidence, E!

It'd also be really handy for me if you could all post the round your review is in along with your goodreads link. Makes the process of ticking each review off as 'done' a little quicker.
e.g. my second round review (Link)
Thanks, Emma.

Peter -
Thanks for your review on GR and Amazon. Being a first time author I was unsure of what to expect and so far have received feedback/reviews from yourself and Ronin, which hold 2 very different views. However, as this is based on my own story, I greatly value any feedback, good or bad, to aid future books I wish to write, so I would like to take this opportunity to pass on my thanks again.
Cheers,
FS Fayth

FS Fayth tried to post my review on Amazon, but as she is new to the site, it would not let her.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?
Brenda

Thanks for the offer, but you will need to post one yourself for this book, so that won't quite work. Much appreciated, anyway. :D

Someone else, who won a paperback version of a novel of mine, tried to post a (good) review on Amazon. I believe they had an account, but no history of having ever purchased anything from the site. Their review was disallowed .

Thanks FS

We all learned a bit more about how the Amazon review process works. Well done! :)

Anyway, in Canada "fracking" is controversial too as several of our provinces have shale oil capacity and we are debating the pros and cons of energy self-sufficiency and jobs versus environmental impact and too much concentration of economy on natural resources.

I decided to answer my own question for the benefit of anyone else having problems like mine. Here is the answer:
In the GoodReads top menu click "HOME"
Go to the search box and enter the name of one of your books. Search for it. When you find one of your books click your own name, which is under your book title. That takes you to your author's page. Next go down to the small type question "I This You?" Click that and attempt to become a GoodReads author. If you book is not yet on GoodReads I don't know what to do. But, consider reading the information about the GoodReads Author Program. That set of instructions may tell you what to do if you don't have a book out in the public view yet. Thanks David! Don't mention it David.
