Chapter 27 (view spoiler)[OOOOHHHH SNAAP Warner just touched her leg and nothing happened! Most interesting thing that has happened in many many pages lol. I also got nervous when he found her notebook, but, it wasn't a big deal like I thought it would be... and kind of stupid on her part that she didn't conceal it better. Anyways, they are mid escape now! I wish Warner hadn't realized that Adam can touch her, I feel like that is information would be much more useful if kept quiet. Hopefully he didn't notice that he touched her unscathed! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 27 (view spoiler)[That escape was way too easy! They just slip out the window!?! And then there is an area right there that is off the grid, so they can't be tracked?? Waaayyy convenient! And Adam doesn't think Warner will know their in that dead zone ... yeah right, Warner should be smart enough to realize Adam didn't just "die" because his tracker went offline. This is part of my review, but wanted to share it with you guys anyways, there's no spoilers, but I'll hide it just in case because it does contain my overall opinion on the book:

(view spoiler)[When I started reading, I was ridiculously annoyed at every other sentence. Juliette's character was just word vomiting purple prose. Numerous times i exclaimed OUT LOUD, "oh my god Juliette, give me a break!" I even stopped reading after a few chapters due to my extreme annoyance. Thanks to GR , I continued to see people reading this book so, I continued on. The more I read, the less annoyed I became. Literally. With each turn of the page, I either got more attached to the characters or the author started to calm down a bit, or both. The ending of the book was definitely a light lilac color instead of a full bright purple, thank god.

Like I said, I hated this book at first, but the story is interesting and it unfolded really nicely, and now I find myself wanting to know what happens next. I don't know if I should be thanking the purple prose for feeling close to Juliette, but by the end of the book I felt close to her, even though I couldn't stand her randomly quantified, ridiculous metaphors in the beginning. I was very very pleased with the ending; I am glad that is where the author decided to go with the story, because she could have gone so many different ways that wouldn't have been as good.

Well, I would have lost my money on this bet... I will definitely continue reading this series. (hide spoiler)]

I honestly have no idea. I would read it in whichever language you are most comfortable reading it in. I'm reading it in English. :)

Since you've already read it in Dutch, I would try doing it in English. I love the writing in English, I don't know how they translated it.

I actually am enjoying the writing style way better this time, and apreciating it more. Also, I'm listening to the audiobook, and it's amazing!

Oh it is super quick! I'm WAAAY further than I should be, I really have no self control haha! but I will post my thoughts daily because I think its really helping me sift thru my feelings. I'm really enjoying the book, though!

It's obvious he cares and loved Juliette, but there's something about him that I just do not understant. Also, how convenient it is that he of all people is able to touch her. And why him? WHY? Does anybody else can? What's the secret? How do her powers work?
Also, I find it funny that when Juliette sees him in the bathroom, he is getting dressed (I assume he just showered) and he goes into the shower again. (hide spoiler)]

I want to know Warner's past. His story. I don't remember if we're told anything in SM, but there are certain things he says in chapter 21 that make me think he understand Juliette better than she thinks. Or at least he thinks he does. Something must have happened to him and I want to know what. I also want to know how he discovered about Juliette and if he also has a power, or has had someone close to him who has. (hide spoiler)]

And this is not against Adam, but I do think that, for Juliette, she "loves" him because she can touch him. I remember when I read the ending the first time, and they said that line about her being a superhero, I asked myself why they did not add something about those lines in the blurbs (I loooooove superheroes), but I guess that may be a spoiler. It's great how you can really 'see' Juliette grow as the story goes on and how she gets more confident and less, well, pathetic haha.
