Wow, I was ill yesterday so I missed the start of this but great to come back to such a lively feed!

Its so hard not to sneak a peak at your spoilers. lol. I'm at Chapter 11 (p.63/13%) So far I have had the same problems you've all pointed out. The punctuation and the crossing out is annoying but as Sarah has said I think it works in making her seem confused. Like she's stuck in her own head. (view spoiler)[ Warner's a little creepy, no? I'll read the rest, I'm just not sure when. Read the first few chapters of destroy me, and it is from Warner's point of view, which i wasn't expecting.

Thoughts from the first 15 chapters. So far, I'm not impressed.

The cellmate is the typical bad boy so I can only imagine he’s going to be the love interest. Gag. I hope that he isn’t her “savior” and gets her to become “whole” or some crap.

The writing is jumbled and hard to understand. The main character [MC] isn’t too annoying though.

p 18- We get it. People haven’t touched you in 200+ days. Let’s move on.

p 32- The choppy and repetitive style of writing reminds me Gollum. -_- It’s absurdly annoying.

c 7- I’m getting the hang of it I think. It’s a little better, but still just meh. Why can’t J tell A why he can’t touch him? Wouldn’t that simplify things a little bit?

c 9- Oh noes. :-( Adam is the bad guy. Boohoo!

c 10- Too difficult to follow the story at this point. There’s too much backstory and descriptions of unimportant things.

p 66- This kind of reads like a spoken word poem. I think when I enunciate it like spoken word it makes it a little easier to understand.

p 70- “I experienced adolescence by association.” I really like this line.

c 13- This is so hard to follow. I’m ready to give up.

c 15- The dialogue is so cliche and unrealistic. It sounds like I’m reading a comic book or watching a Star Wars movie. Bleh.

There's absolutely no chemistry between J & A for me. I don't know their backstory at all (they went to school together but that was just a blip, really). I'm just generally bored and confused.

I have to say Rachael that I'm really surprised by this buddy read. Up until yesterday I had only heard positive things about this book, and I'm surprised that that hasn't been the same for this buddy read. I know that I tend to be pretty darn picky about books, and I can be a bit harsh too, but I'm really shocked that people seem to be feeling the same way as I do!

Usually I'm the one not liking something on my own!
