Maybe this is all part of some kind of test and Warner isn’t as bad as he seems. Or Adam isn’t as good as he seems. I wonder why Warner can touch Juliette as well. I can’t think of any explanation. It’d be unlikely to have 2 people with the same powers but if it’s on unconscious act on her part, she wouldn’t have stopped Warner being injured. (hide spoiler)]

I guess the next book is going to involve them preparing to fight back. I wonder what other powers people have. It sounds like Adam’s definitely got some sort of power. At first I wasn't even sure if this was the series I'd heard about because everyone says he is like the best love interest/book boyfriend or whatever. Like he's the standard. I liked it a lot more this time than I did the first time, I think because I read it instead of listened. Some books I just like more seeing, especially with all the strike throughs and everything in the writing.

She may have known him for a long time, but that doesn't mean she knows him well. I really liked the addition of the new characters there though. Im in the same boat, I actually meant to start this early like on Friday because I dont usually read as quickly as you two but obviously that didnt happen. But I do feel like this book will hook me once it starts getting really good. Its quite interesting so far.

I love how bleak it starts off and how it's not your typical book. Juliette is in a really dark place

Tbh I was thinking it was going to be more like a kingdom, more like SJMs ToG series kind of world, less modern. Not that I actually heard anything about it lol, thats just what I was expecting from the cover I guess, I really knew nothing going into it!

I dont know if there was a disclaimer in yours but there was in mine where the author briefly explained that the strikeouts and scattered thoughts are intentional to show how her character develops mentally, which I think is really cool. I can only imagine how a life like that would take an effect on your psyche.
