Chapters 10-18

Juliettes power is super interesting and cool to me. (Besides the killing people thing obviously) I can’t wait to see how far her power actually goes and how she is going to choose to use it.

I dislike Warner a little less. He seems to actually care about her a little. He’s kinds to Juliette in his own weird way. He could just throw her in a dungeon until he needs her but he doesn’t. I still don’t like him though. But I usually always end up liking the villain for some reason. I wonder what he did to his mother.

What is Adam and Juliettes’s past? I wanna knowww. Adam himself isn’t exactly my favorite. He’s kinda just in the background now. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 19-21

These chapters were HOT. First the shower then Warner without a shirt. Whew. But I don’t trust either of them. There’s no way Adam being able to touch Juliette is a coincidence. Plus he has he bird tattoo she is always raving about. It seems fishy. And Warner is just Warner. No telling how many secrets he has and what he actually wants Juliette to do. Also, good for Juliette for finally going off and standing up to Warner.

P.S. The whole repetition thing is starting to get annoying now.

I agree. The romance between them can get way to fast at times. Like when she’s talking about melting into his arms or my personal favorite “bathing her soul in his blue eyes” But I do like that there is some romance between them. He was always the one who noticed her and stood up for her. I think they know each other at least enough to know that they like each other. But they are moving way too fast.

There are DEFINITELY feelings between Warner and Juliette. I’m excited for it. I don’t really ship Adam anymore. He’s ok ig. But he seems kind of dull. Idk I always seem to ship the bad guy.

I hate the romance! like it doesn't even make any sense for either of them to have feelings for her at all. Warren is fucked up in the head sure, and is purely obsessed with her power but still, it shouldn't come across as romance, why put her in the dresses, it makes no sense. then Adam, yah he barely pay attention to her in school and she was gone for so long, just doesn't work that way. But I'm really liking earing the Audiobook...the girl who narrates Juliette's parts has such a sweet, soothing and beautiful voice... I really like earing it 🙂 (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I'm also enjoying the style of the book a lot. I'd say it's kind of poetic even...and the strike-out words and repetition definitely show how fragil Juliette's mental state is. And it’s understandable, she wasn't had any human contact for nearly 9 months (anyone would go a bit crazy).

I think that the writing may be the only thing that did help Juliette keep sane (I don't think I'd personally be so lucky if I was locked up alone for almost 9 months on my own).

I do really feel for Juliette too! Not being able to touch anyone, being looked and treated like a monster and being always afraid of hurting others...poor girl, really. And how badly she was treated by everyone, even her own parents... Is really very sad. I'm amazed she isn't an angrier and more resentful person, especially against her parents. She's such a nice, sweet girl... She doesn't want to hurt anyone so she keeps away from people, even though she clearly craves touch from another human so much.

About Warner... I guess he is the bad boy here...but he is clearly loved by many fans of the series. I'm still liking Adam more (at least for now)... Let's see if that changes :) (hide spoiler)]

About Warner, I still don't have much love for him... I Like Adam more. BUT lots of fans of the series love Warner. Guess he'll show some good points later?!
