She laughed and blushed. "I can do my best, I was never trained as a culinary artist." she said. She looked to him again. "I can make a roast if you want."

"Your best will be the best." He said with a smile. "What do we do when Scott gets home. When he's home, does whatever we may be having now not exist?" Ryan asked in a weakly professional voice
"I don't know, to be honest." she whispered and leaned against the counter. "I am attracted to you in a way I have never been attracted to anyone in my entire life, Ryan." She looked away from him after the words had escaped her lips. "I want to know what lays ahead for us but I don't want to upset my son either. Do you understand and do you think we can maybe make this work?"
Ryan took her hand in his. "I understand, Lisa. I want to see how far we go too. I understand that this is happening very quickly. I understand that your son just lost a father he never met. So I will wait until you are ready. Okay?"
He wrapped her in a hug. "I'm here to do what needs to be done. Even if that means being a good soldier in front of your son." Ryan kissed her on the cheek.
"You are an amazing man, you know that?" she said softly and hugged him back. After he kissed her cheek she closed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder.
Ryan just held her there. He enjoyed the feeling of holding her and caring for her. Her head on his shoulder felt like an angel touching his heart.
"It feels really good to be in someone's arms again." she said softly her eyes opening and she looked up at him.
She smiled and sighed softly. She jumped as the phone rang. She slowly stepped out of his arms. "I should get that." she said softly and went to answer the phone.
"Ryan reluctantly let her go." He went and started putting the groceries away in they're proper places.
"Ryan reluctantly let her go." He went and started putting the groceries away in their proper places.
She went over and answered the phone. It was one of the women from town asking about the guy she was with.
After several minutes, Lisa hung up the phone and sighed. "I don't think she actually believes anything that I told her but I didn't lie to Suzanne." she said and glanced over.
Ryan had just finished but the last of the groceries up. He turned around and said, "Some people will believe what they want to no matter what."
"I know, especially in this town." she said softly. "The people can be nice and understanding to a point, but as soon as there is something new to talk about they talk." She helped him finish putting away the groceries. "But I say let them talk."
"Yep. Scott should be here by now. Right?" Ryan said. It felt like an hour but it was only 15 minutes that had passed.
"Let's watch some TV. The televisions they had didn't have anything, but news stations and a media player." Ryan picked her and held her bridal style.
She laughed softly as he picked her up. Wrapping her arm around his neck she smiled at him. "Alright, what do you want to watch?" she asked.
"A movie is a movie don't give them genders like human beings, Sweetness." Ryan was trying to figure out what to use as the term of endearment for Lisa.
"Alright. My favorite movie is The Bodyguard." she said softly as she blushed. The fact that he was trying to figure out something to call her meant a lot to Lisa.
She laughed softly and looked to him. "Are you going to put me down or hold me all day?" she asked softly.
"Excuse me?" Ryan said with an eyebrow raised.((I really have no idea if what I think it means is what it means))
((He was carrying her bridal style, remember?))"You are carrying me... You picked me up in the kitchen." she replied with a smile.
"The real question is do you want me to put you down or do you want to stay on my lap while we watch the movie on the couch" Ryan kissed her forehead.((oh yeah))
"Sitting on your lap would be nice but one of us will have to grab the movie and put it in." she said smiling softly. She liked having his arms around her. He smelt really good.
"Let's go" Ryan walked to the shelf of movies and pulled The Bodyguard while still holding Lisa. The he walked towards the TV. "I don't want to break your TV or DVD player so you can put the disk in. It's in the arm under you back.
Smiling she took the movie and put it in to the DVD player. "We can turn on the TV when we are seated. The remote is on the coffee table." she said wrapping her arms around him once more.
Ryan carried her and sat down with her on his lap. Then he turned the TV with the remote. "You look cute in my lap."
