SOLVED. book about a wizard boy that can see wards [s]

ok so in the book the boys parents are afraid because assassins are coming to kill them. the family has a rare magic power, I do not know that much about it, any ways they die then in some way come to be raised by some one else. but he manages to make friends with a nobles son. where he ends up using his powers to save this noble. I could be wrong but I think he passes out. the nobles horse went crazy I think. any way he goes to the castle when there he can see weird symbels that I later find out are called wards. a wizard some how finds out I think and starts to teach him. that's about I can remember. this books been on my brain a lot some thank you if you can help.

maybe two years ago. it was a ebook a friend let me have so I do not remember the cover. I remember that no other wizards could interact with the wards. I believe he touched a ward in one of the librarys in the castle. I am trying to remember more but I think it was a newer book because I do not think the series was finished yet

A friend of mine found it, from my book club. its The Blacksmiths Son by micheal g. manning (mageborn series). thank you every one so exited to finilly know the name of the series.
