Topic: Fiction, was about the evolution of slug-like creatures who live on another planet in our solar system at a speed much faster than humans (at one point a slug individual has to stay still for multiple of his weeks for a human camera to get a picture of it). Gravity was heavy so they were tiny, but visible to human eye.

It's an older book - might even be 70's or 80's
