Named in reference to the short story by W. W. Jacobs, Redbrook's local curio shop is famous for its strange, expansive collection of odds and ends. The shelves behind the counter are stocked with all kinds of wares, from old dolls to wind chimes to wood-carved figurines, while the wall across from them is dedicated to hanging paintings and tapestries and other pieces of that sort. Usually not too odd, all and all; it's the back of the store that gives the Paw it's reputation. The shelves at the rear of the little shop are what tend to attract the horror-loving sorts, as it's there where you find your Ouija boards and ancient chess sets and jewelry worn by long-dead women. Of course, Kyle Appleton (who owns the shop along with his wife Tyra) will tell you that none of the merchandise is actually dangerous or cursed and that saying so is just good for business...but whether you should believe him or not is debatable. Take one of the age-worn coins off the shelves and flip it; and remind yourself that this is, after all, Redbrook.
