"Now cut the deck, but when you do it, focus on your question. You do realise that you must ask me a question to which I will answer by cutting the cards. Think of the question you will ask me later when you cut the deck," he said.

Estienne considered which spread he should use. He looked at her, and said, "Would you like to go simple or intricate? For your reading."

((Okay this is what the spread will look like: http://www.angelpaths.com/spreads3.html and tell me what you want to aim at so that I can have Estienne put out the relevant cards otherwise I'll end up writing the future and past of your character because tarot cards have specific meanings))
Estienne sighed. Then nodded. "I will not touch the cards, you will. This way I will not disturb the reading. First, state your question."
Estienne sighed. Then nodded. "I will not touch the cards, you will. This way I will not disturb the reading. First, state your question."

"Question: what key events of my past are supposed to help me prepare for what the Red cloaked man predicted?" she asked. she had talked to the man herself on occasion and when he made a prediction, no matter how dodgy the method, it was not to be brushed off lightly.
Estienne turned it over. "The world." He looked at the card. (view spoiler) ((Though the pic isn't that important lols I just wanted to use them XD)) It was a figure with the world on their shoulders, or in some cases, just an image of the world.
"The centre card, marks your present. The world card sits in your present, hmm, could be interpreted as 'Experiencing connection with the universe, the source which nurtures us all. A sense of expansion and hope. Travel and communications. Career expansions. Hope.' But, pick the next card off the pile, and put it horizontally across the World Card," said Estienne.

(BTW, I have a 72 angel Tarot deck in my room with a book on how to use it and what each card means)
((Lols sweet, then you can look up the cards as I pull them out, I probably should have used an angel deck. I'm actually using a goddess deck at the moment, though the images are of a hetalia tarot deck lol - just for fun.))
Estienne turned it over as well, "three of wands, or staves, depending on the deck. Though for this one, since it's the goddess deck, it's three of staves, Freyja, you're immediate challenge, may be a success. Perhaps? Next card. Put it on the left of those two cards."

I wonder which one? she asked herself as she put the card down on the location that was specified.
"King of Swords, Isis. Hmm...located in the position of "distant past" and should indicate the root of your question. The suit of swords is associated with Isis, the Egyptian fertility goddess. Swords symbolize the incisive forces of the intellect; they cut through to refocus the energy grown in the preceding suit of staves. Swords also symbolize the magical ability to transform painful situations into areas of personal growth. The story of Isis and her consort Osiris illustrates this principle beautifully. Because of Osiris’s tragic death, Isis was able to give birth to their son Horus, the most powerful of the Egyptian gods. Like Isis, we can choose how to use our swords. We can turn them against ourselves when we are in pain. Or we can transform the situation through knowledge and understanding. Could mean calm authority and integrity. A helpful older man who won’t sugarcoat words to protect feelings. Incisive intellect. High values that demand hard work." Estienne paused. "Next card please, put it directly below the first two cards."

Herana thought of what relation this had to her past with her sister and mother and how this could relate to her future. she picked up the card as directed and placed it down.
((Lols, cut and paste XD, got bored))
"Four of Staves. Again, Freyja. More recent past, including events. This will indicate events taking place, not necessarily directly connected to the question. For example, if a love affair going wrong Card 3 would show the root of why it is going wrong, whereas Card 4 will show something that recently happened to reflect this. Hmm...perhaps Stability of ventures. A new home. Accomplishing goals, and enjoying them with satisfaction. First success of a new venture. .Putting down roots. Next. This one will go above the first two cards please," said Estienne.

"I will explain it all more clearly at the end," Estienne explained, and flipped the next card, ah, it was a card not usually seen in other decks ((I literally had to check this, I don't know if it's in the angel deck either)), "Tradition. Card 5 is the card representing what is on your mind...should be directly related to your question, possibly. Juno
Juno was honored as the patroness of marriage and other traditional rites of passages in women’s lives. This Roman goddess was believed to watch and protect all women—from their first breath to their last. Meaning, following established social structures and traditions. Awareness of public image. Conformity in order to gain an authority figure's approval. Possible rigidity."

(Yes I like detail but there's barely anything to write. Could you just keep skipping me and doing each card till the end so that we can get back to detail?)
((Lols sure, but this will take a while...there's still 5 cards to go))
Estienne gestured for Herana to lay out the next five cards to speed up the process. He would explain all of them at the end.

((Pfft haha))
Card six was two of staves, Card seven, strength. Card eight, Love. Card nine, the princess of staves, and card ten, wisdom. "You asked, possibly one of the most vaguest questions asked, what key events of my past are supposed to help me prepare for what the Red cloaked man predicted? The most important cards that reflect your answer are the King of Swords and the Four of Staves. Isis and Freyja. Two powerful goddesses that symbolise strength and stability. the King of Swords indicates your distant past. Of which lie the foundation of your issue. She often associated with the moments when one first realises their own magical potential. And usually refers to the moment that your realise that by discovering your abilities, you can control your fate. That would be your first answer to the question you asked," He said. "Then again, it is the King of swords, which therefore indicates that this defining moment was aided by the help of an older, wiser man. Who is authoritative, and in a manner of speaking 'king-like'. Who does not sugarcoat words and appreciates hard work."
"The second part, is the Four of Staves. All staves are associated with Freyja, Goddess of creativity and she honous stability. But mostly, because it is the Four of Staves, this would perhaps be the defining moment in your life in which you felt the most stable in a new place in the most recent past. You felt successful in setting down your roots. So most likely, you will feel the most power and connection to the answer that you're looking for there."

"I must speak to the Nekora family leader." She decided as the best possible course, the Pocky dancing in her mouth as she spoke.
Estienne stared thoughtfully at the King of Swords and said, "it is lucky that the King of Swords is not reversed, though I wonder..."

((gotta disappear for a bit))
"An reversed King of Swords usually represents a powerful, opinionated, forceful man in yourlife. He will often, but not always, have hair on the darker end of the spectrum. He is not particularly open to new ways of doing things. It will be difficult to get him to be open to any sort of change. It's actually a lot more negative than how I've said it," he said thoughtfully.

(Ttyl)
"Perhaps you do. Although I don't always do this, but would you mind if I read the cards again for you?" He asked. There was something nagging at him, no. It was the cards, they were asking to be read again. He couldn't ignore the cards.

Estienne picked up the deck and shuffled the cards in his hands with an intricate kind of shuffling and then layed out a three card spread focussing on her future. He flipped them over. The one on the farthest right in the future position, facing Estienne was the Hanged Man. "I see..."

"Crossroads. Or in this case, In the future position, The Hanged Man foretells of a coming battle and advises you to not be seen as an active aggressor," he looked up at Herana.

(do you have any good Neko pics?)
((No, but I can look, planning to make another character??))
"No, it's saying that in the battle to come, you should not be the agressor," Said Estienne.
"No, it's saying that in the battle to come, you should not be the agressor," Said Estienne.

(I need to make the Nekora family leader, it's in the name as to why they are all Neko.)
Estienne raised a brow and folded the cards away. "Whether you agree or not. This is what the cards have read. In some point in the future, you should be wary of a situation when you shouldn't put yourself in that kind of position."
((I figured, just search neko pics on google...))

Estienne shrugged and stood. "I'm not a fortune teller. But this kind of warning...well. It's the hanged man after all."
Estienne shrugged and stood. "I'm not a fortune teller. But this kind of warning...well. It's the hanged man after all."

"chant: the one who hangs shall know the fate of all who fall beneath, for those who fall shall forever more wish eternal sleep." Herana spoke more like, because of her emotionless tone it came out in more of a single line than a chant.
((Lols, well they're all cute so....))
Estienne just raised his brow and said, "so it would seem."
Estienne just raised his brow and said, "so it would seem."
Estienne just cast a casual glance at Herana, and ignored the offer. He didn't like pocky. Sighing he shifted the cards and put the deck in front of her, and said, "Shuffle the cards, but do anything else but put them on the table."
