I read this book so I could connect with my step-son who was reading it for school. Such a sweet, sad story.

My seven year old was just broken when we read this together. We were all crying, but he was just sobbing. How did your son like it?
My step-son loved it! He talked about it for months and convinced his mom to get him a dog for his birthday because of it! We still talk about it every time we talk about his puppy or see a racoon strolling around. :)
