I hope everyone had a lovely spring break. Since we are discussing Ella Enchanted this week, we wanted to hear what situation, other than murder, you think might force you to break the same curse? Also are there any other curses you think would be just as harmful that Lucinda could have given Ella?

Personally, I want to think that I would have been forced to break the curse as soon as my actions would cause another person their life. When Ella almost handed the little gnome over to the orge I felt that situation would have caused me to do everything in my power to prohibit handing the child over to his death. I think that any curse that causes other people to have control of what you do is extremely harmful. Lucinda could put a piece of that in other types of curses though, even in something silly such as forcing an individual to sneeze every time they see water. That would give some one else control since they only had to show the person water in order to get a response that the individual did not willingly want to give.
