Ursula Werner | 1 comments Hi group! I'm Ursula, a new member of Goodreads, and also a new author. My first novel, The Good at Heart, is historical fiction, and is set for release by Simon & Schuster in late February 2017. What a wild, lucky, crazy ride that publication process is!

I love reading pretty much anything, but particularly like fiction, poetry, and science fiction/fantasy. And on the personal side, I love dogs, baking, running, and flossing my teeth.

Hi Ursula. Nice to meet you! Congrats on your first novel. How exciting.

For some reason my post keeps getting cut off. Maybe it's just on my end? Anyhow.

It's Joyce..again..I've been on Goodreads for a little while now. I'm a newbie blogger: www.princessofpaperback.wordpress.com and like to write about the books I've read, tv series I'm following and sometimes my love for coffee.

My fav things to read: Fiction-crime, mystery/thrillers, a bit of horror, paranormal, fantasies like Harry Potter & Game of Thrones, some historical fiction & a bit of YA.

Hope to make some connections :)

Happy reading!

message 1574: by R. (new)

R. Riddle (rfrederickriddle) | 4 comments Hi, my name is R. Frederick Riddle. I've been a member of Goodreads for awhile now, but I am new to this group. I love writing and reading historical fiction whether it is American or world history. Most of my novels are of world history and based on the Book of Genesis. My latest novel, Perished: The World That Was, is a rewrite of my original and covers the first 1656 years after Creation.
Aside from historical fiction I love reading mysteries and even a little sci-fi. I also review books primarily in those three genres, but I have also read and reviewed non-fiction books.
This sounds like an interesting group and I am looking forward to Making Connections.

Michele Akerlind | 5 comments Hi my name is Michele Akerlind. I am new to the group. I love writing children's books. I started writing a children's series - Paisley is a pupstar, a story about an Australian wonder dog. I began last Christmas and have just finished my 7th book. I have begun book 8 and working on an autobiography to hopefully publish next year. My website is being created at the moment but have link to facebook page on my profile, also on Pinterest. Happy to hear feedback and excited to be connecting with other interesting people. Did my first library reading and played Mistress 'Shell who I am in the book. Loved it. Michele aka Mistress 'Shell:)

Jayde Kemsley | 8 comments Hello!

I'm Jayde Kemsley. I'm a reader, writer, and reviewer.
I stuck to paperbacks for the longest time, but after publishing my first novel this year, I got into the online world of books. I have only just discovered Goodreads and this group, and it sounds very cool. It looks like the perfect place to find some unsung indie works to read before bed. I'll spend sometime checking out all the sections today. Luckily I have nothing to do at work, so I'll be sitting here surfing the group and getting paid for it. :D

Cheers!

Chris Norbury (chrisnorbury) | 8 comments Hi Everyone,

I'm Chris Norbury, a new/older writer from southern Minnesota. My debut novel, Castle Danger, came out earlier this year.

I write suspense novels about ordinary people thrust into extraordinary situations with sometimes life-or-death consequences. Castle Danger will be the middle book of a trilogy featuring my protagonist, Matt Lanier. I intend to set most of my stories in Minnesota because the state's unique in my opinion. And, aren't you just a little tired of reading suspense/thrillers/mysteries set in big cities like NY, LA, DC, featuring spies, superagents, who go around saving the world with seemingly unlimited skills and resources? Don't get me wrong, I love those stories, but I prefer to put normal people under the most pressure they've ever been under and see what happens. :-)

Here's the link to my book on my website: http://chrisnorbury.com/books/castle-...
and here you can read about it on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I'm an avid golfer and wilderness canoe camper (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness-BWCAW)

Looking forward to being a productive member of this group and learning from and sharing with you all.

Chris

C.L. Lynch (cllynchauthor) | 10 comments Hi, I'm Carol. I'm an awkward introvert from Vancouver, B.C. I enjoy writing and hiding from adult responsibilities. My upcoming book, "Chemistry", will be coming out in December. I wrote it because I got frustrated with books like "Twilight" which I felt set bad role models for young girls because the relationships seemed abusive. So I wrote a book that I wanted to be the opposite. "Chemistry" is a girl-power twist on Twilight, with zombies instead of vampires and a main character who can't stop swearing.

You can check out my website www.cllynch.com

And my book is on Goodreads:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Looking forward to meeting other authors!

Elizabeth O'Neill | 18 comments Hi, would anyone like to review my book 'The Killing of John, John and John' It's about a Scottish girl who's mother works in the sex trade. The mother is warped and encourages the young girl to help her with her work. The girl becomes badly effected by this upbringing and she goes on to commit a horrific crime. Who do we blame. It's the old age debate of nurture over nature. If you are interested in reviewing this book send me your email address and I'll send you a PDF file, and you'll get to read it for free! Thanks.

Sorry Tana, I'm just new to all of this and trying to review books and get my own reviewed, not in return for one another, I know that's also a rule. Kind regards Elizabeth

Tana (tana_t) | 14676 comments Mod
Basically you sign up and we list your book in our group by genre. Here members sign up if interested and post a review on goodreads, some post on amazon, their blogs ect. The only condition is that the author send the members a copy to review free and in exchange the member who signed up reads and reviews the book.

Hope that helps.
Tana

Zoe Schoppa (zoe_schoppa) | 1 comments Hello, everyone. I am a lifelong book lover and wannabe writer. I am enjoying writing book reviews as my way of merging my loves together. I have been blogging for a little over a year now and trying to build readership. I love to support indie authors. That is actually what directed me to this group. I was searching for a place to share an ebook giveaway for a rather new author. I don't know if it is okay to post links in this group so I won't until I hear back. I'm just glad that I ran across all of you. I'm looking to spend some quality time with this group and hopefully, I can positively contribute. Happy reading and writing!
