It wasn't too difficult to decide my top4 this time. I've a trickster book to read on my bookshelf (Lokiiiiii) so it was an easy choice! Some others are interesting and not what I usually read, like the elderly person as a main character, so it could be a nice change!

And, are they definitely going to be assigned? When is the final 2016 book challenge going to be announced?
Thanks :))
Stacey > The past suggestion topics and votes can be find in this folder:

For the moment, they are not definitely assigned as we maybe have more topics than 52, we'll see if you need to do a final vote when we'll reach the last poll. It's scheduled for october-november.

I mean what does "A book that makes you pee your pants" even mean? Is it a funny book? One that is so interesting you just don't do anything to take care of yourself? If that's the case, say that, because I'm not going to sit there and pee my pants while reading a book.
I'm all for creative topics, but I'd like them to be realistic...
Peter > I took that one as being open to different interpretations. Something really scary or really funny. But something absorbing to the point of not wanting to stop is also a good interpretation. I still struggled with it a little since it's a book that would be hard to identify before reading like the "make you cry" book this year.
Seventh poll:
Voting ends September 24 at 8:00am EST
Rules:
- One vote per poll per user
Please read before voting!!
- If "the highest rated book in your to-read list" is in the top 4 then it will replace "a book from your to-read list" since the original suggestion is somewhat general.
- Here are the themes from the current list that are similar to the poll suggestions:
* A book by an author you feel you should have read by now
* A book by an author who writes under more than one name
* A book set in a different continent
* A classic book with less than 200 pages
* A top 100 fantasy novel
* A book that's title begins with the first letter of your name
* A book with a beautiful title (in your own opinion)
* A book with a first name in the title
* A book with a type of food/drink in the title
* A book with one of the five Ws -or H in the title
* The 16th book on your to-read list
Please consider this when voting
I also noticed that there are some similar suggestions within this poll. I tried to group these together in the order so if you do not want both topics on the list then it may be a good idea to rank one of them very low.
