Hallie (inkyhallie) When I was 10, I wrote my first story.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

When I was 6, I wrote a novella :p

message 4: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) Wow!

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

It was pretty stupid though xD I think it was about a pixie falling in love with peter pan or something

message 6: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) Lol. I'd love to read that one!

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

My mom keeps it on her study desk...its so embarrassing...

message 8: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) I never let anyone know about it, so no worries about that.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I started writing in 2011. It was a FANFICTION before I started my own stories. I think it was 2013 when I started writing my own stories.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

That's pretty cool. Fanfictions are fun to write about, especially if you love the fandom you're writing about!

message 11: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) I tried fanfiction once, but gave up after it didn't come out well.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha usually it depends on the fandom. I suck at TV Series fandom but I do good when I'm writing a fanfic based on a book.

message 13: by Skye~just Skye~ (new)

Skye~just Skye~ | 32 comments I wrote my first poem when I was 5 or 6.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow. What was it about?

message 15: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 0 comments idk I think I've always been writing. When I was younger I used it as therapy in a way. I have ADHD and some more brain Problems and have always had Trouble organizing my thoughts, writing helped.

message 16: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) My goodness!

message 17: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 0 comments I'm good now, only slightly insane

message 18: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) I don't think people with ADHD are insane. They're people like me; perhaps better than me.

message 19: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 0 comments That's not why I am slightly insane, it just makes it worse.

message 20: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 0 comments And People with ADHD are some of the awesomest you will ever meet. Not saying this to be pompous, but I think we have a unique look on the world.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

My best friend had ADHD :) I loved being with her

message 22: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 0 comments Were pretty fun People, nothing is ever boring.

message 23: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) Funny but I don't recall anyone like that, unless you include me as a mentally unstable idiot.

message 24: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 0 comments Ehh, there's nothing wrong with being a Little mentally unstable, I think everyone is at least a Little bit.

message 25: by Morissa (new)

Morissa Johnson | 6 comments I'm only a freshman in high school, but I started writing in sixth or seventh grade. My first story was about a girl whose prom date kidnapped her and locked her in a cabin in the woods. And left her there to die.

message 26: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) Sounds interesting.

message 27: by Morissa (new)

Morissa Johnson | 6 comments It was, until my math teacher wanted to read it. That scared me off for a while, but then I finally started up again

message 28: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) Ah, I know that!

message 29: by Lucy (new)

Lucy S (grenouillesorcier) I wrote my first fanfiction when I was 7, about Harry Potter (somewhat predictably) and it was hilariously awful. I started writing original stories at around 11/12.

Lucy wrote: "I wrote my first fanfiction when I was 7, about Harry Potter (somewhat predictably) and it was hilariously awful. I started writing original stories at around 11/12."

I'm also doing my own original stories more often than FANFICTIONS.

I wrote my first thing officially back in 3rd grade. My English teacher gave us a writing prompt of 'what if you woke up one day and you were 2 inches tall' and I flippin ran with it and wrote way more than expected (granted my spelling, handwriting and grammar were horrible but still) and it got read in front of the whole school which was embarrassing and awesome at the same time. Ever since then, I've been writing.

message 33: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) I hate this thread a lot.

message 34: by sucre'd fiend (new)

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 46 comments Why?

message 35: by Bri (new)

Bri (lost-in-words) | 3 comments I'm impressed that everyone seems to remember when they started writing! I don't! I know I have always had a passion for reading and writing but I don't remember a particular time or piece that started it all. I supposed it became more prevalent when I entered my tween years and struggled to fit in. I found solace in words, bled onto paper.

To this day I don't feel as though I write as often or as passionately as I could. I'm trying to change that.

message 36: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) sucre'd fiend wrote: "Why?"

Well, everyone started when they were younger than me.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Woahhh i had no idea people started to write so early *_* I actually just found the guts to finally read my first novella and omg its hilarious! its sending me in tears XD

message 38: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) | 160 comments Mod
To be super technical though I didn't start writing with the intent of making a book until 6th grade, the 3rd grade writing prompt just gave me the idea that hey maybe I want to write a book someday

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

So are you still continuing with that book? XD

message 40: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) | 160 comments Mod
eeeeh....its around here somewhere XD just on paper rather than on the computer. But I'm in the process of archiving all my old stories on Google Drive so I'm sure I'll find it and if the plot is still good then I'll continue it with some severe proofreading cause omg I was way too friendly with comma's back then XD

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Better than me, i carried exclamation marks with me everywhere XD I refused to believe in the existence of anything but exclamation marks!

message 42: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) | 160 comments Mod
XD haha I love exclamation marks

I'm pretty sure that if I had used them as often as I wanted to my characters would always be exclaiming everything XD

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

XD My characters were always as excited as I was and that made them so ridiculous!

message 44: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) | 160 comments Mod
XD I think if my characters were as excited as I was as a kid they woulda slept more often haha I was so high energy XD

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

I pretty much flew around all the time except when i was sleeping..but even then I'd sleepwalk!

message 46: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) | 160 comments Mod
I didn't hold still unless I was reading or asleep XD

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Hold still when reading? Hell no, i would bounce around XD

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

I still do XDDD

message 49: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) | 160 comments Mod
I mean, i don't sit in one position very long but I don't bounce around while reading

not anymore at least XD I get motionsick haha

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

I daydream about my characters.
