when i was 5 i wrote a small book about a mermaid getting grounded by her mother. i overused MS paint to try and make pretty drawings for it. it had like. 5 pages of a big picture and about 2-3 sentences.
My first thing was a Dragon Age fanfic. As I look back on it I cringe. Then I did another fanfic, and I began my novel in July last year. Currently editing it now, and loving it :) .
I started writing when I was 6, I wanted to be a singer. My whole family comes from a long line of musicians, and I have an uncle who's famous in Honduras. But, alas, my voice is not superstar quality. So I figured if I can't sing than I can still participate by writing songs. My song writing turned into a flimsy red folder filled with poems about God,friends, family, and whales. (I really love whales lol) I started writing stories in Jr High, and began writing a book when I was 19. After nine years I decided to try and publish the book.
I started wanting to write at about age 12. I became fascinated with daydreaming and I use to think about characters, story problems, and obstacles all the time. Then, while I was in class and should have been listening, I's practice dialogue on the rims of my notebook. It has been quite a journey since.
I started writing when I was ten. I was always an avid reader, so I wanted to be a writer, too. I wrote a "novel" on notebook paper and stapled it down the left side so it would look like a real book, and then I gave it to my teacher on the last day of school.

As a teacher myself, it is those moments with kiddos that are important to recognize. Was she a teacher that inspired you?
